A Very Late February Goal Review
This review is extremely late, but I decided I didn't want to review March and February together, so I'm writing this up. All in all, I think February was a decent month, though I know I missed some of my targets. For a more detailed look, peek behind the cut.
--Practice one language a month on Duolingo. French, German, Polish, Hawaiian, and Esperanto, then repeat.
---I practiced German in February.
--Complete 14 units in French, complete 8 legendary units in Polish, complete 6 units in Hawaiian, complete 8 Legendary units in Esperanto, complete 15 units in German.
---I completed 4 units in German and 1 unit in French.
--Do yoga every day except Mondays.
---I missed 11 days of yoga in February, which is really not ideal. I've noticed I have a habit of missing Sunday, Tuesday, and sometimes Wednesday as well, all in a row. I'm not sure how to fix it, but I have noticed that I tend to miss days in groups, rather than just one isolated day at a time.
--Do at least one 30 days of yoga challenge.
---I did not do this in February.
--Take one walk a week.
---I only took two out of four walks this month, but the weeks where I missed my walk I curled on the weekend, so it could have been worse.
--Make a weekly post on Thursdays and make the Comfort Corner posts on the first third and fifth Sundays of the month.
---I made half of my weekly posts and all of my Sunday posts.
--Cook once a week. I'd like to focus on healthier meals and ways to give myself more variety throughout the week.
---I cooked something every week this month.
--Do the dishes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays as well as after any cooking or baking I do.
---I really slacked on doing the dishes in February, including on days where I cooked dinner, which is less than ideal. Hopefully I can get back on track in March.
--Water daily and weed weekly during the growing season (May to September probably).
---Not applicable yet.

--Donate to charity once a month. Create the list by January 15 (done January 10).
---Done in February.
--Read fifteen books. Make a list by January 15 (done Jan 1).
---I started "Prince Jack" in February, but I fell down a rabbit hole of fanfic, so I did not finish it before the month ended.
--Play ten flute songs a month.
---I played the remaining 5 songs from the "Women of Pop" book, played three songs from "The Big Book of Flute Songs," and played about 5 or 6 lines worth of practice pieces from my learn to play flute book.
--Work on old bingo cards.
---No progress yet.
--Finish the baby blanket I'm working on.
---I made zero progress in February, unfortunately.
--Crochet a shawl by end of March.
---I also did not make any progress on my shawl.
--Get one colour of fabric cut for my quilt.
---No progress in February.
--Complete one puzzle.
---I sorted the edge pieces for the eagle puzzle, but I have not started putting it together yet.
--Take one "me" day a month. I'd like to plan these out this year so that I can make the most of them, rather than falling into them sideways.
---I did take a "me" day in February. I saw my boyfriend, relaxed and read, so it was a pretty nice recharge day. :)
--Go to an amusement park.
---Wrong season for this.
--Do one outside activity a month.
---This did not really get done, since the only time I was outside was for my two weekly walks.
--Answer DW comments as I get them. Answer 5 per weekend to clear any backlog that may accumulate.
---I didn't answer many comments in February, but my backlog also didn't get worse, so that is something.
--Fill in wall calendar with all recurring goals by January 15.
---Done January 13.
--Work on one slice of the Circle of Life. Have a plan by the end of January.
---I did not make a plan to work on self-esteem in February and consequently did not do anything concrete to improve it.
--Mark daily tasks as they are completed. Write a monthly goal review at the end of each month.
---I did alright marking daily tasks, usually with no more than a few day delay at the max. The monthly goal review was very late this month, so I'm not counting it towards my goal, even though I am in fact writing one instead of skipping it entirely.
--Do one seasonal activity each season.
---I made two snowmen while on a walk with my boyfriend! For spring, I would like to do some spring cleaning, specifically decluttering my drawers and dressers that have accumulated many unneeded things.
--Have a maximum of four coffees a week. I'd like to keep an eye on my caffeine intake, so I figured this would be an easy way to start.
---I had four coffees two of the weeks, and five coffees the other two. This is not ideal but it's still not terrible and I'm going to keep trying in March.
--**--Random fun activity: My boyfriend and two of our friends curled in a two-day tournament in February. We didn't place very well but we had a lot of fun and we played some good games. There was good food as well, so it was a great weekend all in all.
I missed more of my goals than I wanted to in February, but I spent a lot of the month very unmotivated and reading a whole lot of Harry Potter big bang fanfic. With any luck, March will bring more motivation and a better result on my goals.
