In the corner along one wall there is a large sofa, able to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably. Along the other corner wall there is a smaller sofa for 2 or 3 people. In the middle of the furniture, there is a low, round coffee table, perfect for colouring at or for other craft activities.
There is a scratching post and a cat tree for climbing, which are both along the wall opposite the couch. A few fluffy beds have also been put out, in varying sizes, in case any one prefers the floor. There is also a large sturdy perch and a marked off area that says "Landing Pad" in case any winged friends want to visit.
There is now a blue chaise chair in the nook as well, which has been placed near the couch and is good for both sitting and spreading out lengthwise. There are also two armchairs; one an oversized, deep gray leather chair, the other a square fabric armchair in deep blue with light purple swirls on it.
There are two baskets off to the side. One contains fuzzy blankets, a variety of fuzzy and textured pillows, and a collection of stuffed animals while the other contains a variety of art supplies, ranging from colouring pages and blank paper to crayons and coloured pencils, and more besides.

Update time (finally)
Oct. 22nd, 2026 07:08 pmHi folks! Sorry for the long absence; life was busy and I got distracted. Things have been going well, although my new workout schedule is eating more of my time than expected. Not a detrimental amount, just enough that I have to figure out how prioritize my many hobbies and chores that have to get done.
Over the last month, I went out for dinner for my birthday twice, my fiance and I went to another Dark Sky Night at a nearby National Park, we had Thanksgiving dinner at my place, I went to Cedar Point with a coworker, and we went on a wine tour with a group from work.
On top of the fun things, I have managed to stick to my new meal plan and workout schedule for the most part, although yoga practice has declined as a result. I have also done some gardening, finished my crochet gnome kit, practiced flute once, done okay with staying on top of the dishes, and made progress on the book I started at the end of September.
For the rest of the month, I am going to try to finish up the hat I started knitting a while ago, practice my flute again, finish my book, have lunch with my good friend (hopefully twice), and go to a Halloween party. I am also looking forward to my November project, which involves knitting my first shirt. I'm not sure if I will finish it in one month, but I will be happy with however much I can get done.

In the corner along one wall there is a large sofa, able to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably. Along the other corner wall there is a smaller sofa for 2 or 3 people. In the middle of the furniture, there is a low, round coffee table, perfect for colouring at or for other craft activities.
There is a scratching post and a cat tree for climbing, which are both along the wall opposite the couch. A few fluffy beds have also been put out, in varying sizes, in case any one prefers the floor. There is also a large sturdy perch and a marked off area that says "Landing Pad" in case any winged friends want to visit.

Oct. 14th, 2026 08:04 pmSeptember was a decent month, though it required some changes in my routine. I decided to get more active with my exercise/weight loss goal and adjusting to that required some time. I still think I did pretty well with my goals, although I definitely had less free time than I'm used to. For all the details, check behind the cut.

Sep. 10th, 2026 11:17 amHello everyone! The last few weeks have been good. I've been doing well with my goals and there has been time for fun too. I haven't read a lot of my book, but I have been reading a lot of fanfic, crocheting, and doing other things, so that's alright.
Last week, I decided to sign up for personal training with one of my coworkers who does that on the side. So far the meal plan and workouts are going well. Hopefully I can stick with it and actually make some progress towards my weight loss/health goal.
Coming up, I have lunch with my good friend, a weekend with my fiance, and probably a few plans with friends that I currently forget the details of. I would like to work on more of the Easter gnomes I'm crocheting, finish reading my book, and get some more yard work done, especially as the leaves start falling. I also have pictures of my last few knitting projects that I want to post. I have saved them to dreamwidth, I just have to find time for a post.

Aug. 27th, 2026 07:25 pmHi everyone! This will probably be short because I don't have much brain today. The last few weeks have been kostly okay, but there has been some worry, as my dad is still having health problems. My goals are doing okay and I've made good progress on the baby blanket I'm working on. I also finished a book and started a new one. I'm happy with how many books I've read so far; I may actually make a dent in my to-read list lol.
Coming up, I'd like to focus more on my yoga and health goals and getting some more yard work done. I get to hang out with my good friend tomorrow, which is always nice, and there are a few other fun things coming up which I'm looking forward to.

August Update
Aug. 13th, 2026 02:37 pmHello everyone! I hope you all have been doing well. The last two weeks have been really good. I had a week off of work and I managed to get a good amount of relaxing in while still being a little productive. My sister had a pool party at my grandma's, so I got to do some swimming.
I got some weeding done, I did a good amount of work on the baby blanket and the hat I'm working on, I started a new book, I went to a few wineries and a poker night with my fiance, and I generally just had time to hang out and chill. I also finally got the chance to go to a Dark Sky Night! I went with my fiance and we got to see a whole bunch of stars, as well as a few of the meteors from the Perseid meteor shower. It was a bit of a late night but it was a great time.
Coming up, I'd like to get more work done outside, keep working on my fibre projects, read more of my book, and figure out how to make my fitness goal more effective/achievable. I should also have a few days to relax coming up, which will be nice; it doesn't seem to happen often in the summertime.

Comfort Corner
Aug. 2nd, 2026 09:06 amThe carpet is thick, soft and cream coloured, while the walls are a yellow bronze colour. In the corner along one wall there is a large sofa, able to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably. Along the other corner wall there is a smaller sofa for 2 or 3 people. In the middle of the furniture, there is a low, round coffee table, perfect for colouring at or for other craft activities.
There is a scratching post and a cat tree for climbing, which are both along the wall opposite the couch. A few fluffy beds have also been put out, in varying sizes, in case any one prefers the floor. There is also a large sturdy perch and a marked off area that says "Landing Pad" in case any winged friends want to visit.
There is now a blue chaise chair in the nook as well, which has been placed near the couch and is good for both sitting and spreading out lengthwise. There are also two armchairs; one an oversized, deep gray leather chair, the other a square fabric armchair in deep blue with light purple swirls on it.
There are two baskets off to the side. One contains fuzzy blankets, a variety of fuzzy and textured pillows, and a collection of stuffed animals while the other contains a variety of art supplies, ranging from colouring pages and blank paper to crayons and coloured pencils, and more besides.
Today there is a fruit tray, an omelette station, a cereal and oatmeal bar, bacon and sausage, coffee loaf, espresso white chocolate cookies, tea, coffee, and various juices. Come join the fun!

Update Time!
Jul. 9th, 2026 05:17 pmHi everybody! I don't have a lot of brain today, so this might not be a very coherent post. The last two weeks have been good. We had a heatwave, but we came out the other side fine and it's a bit cooler now. I had a few fun weekends, with more fun coming up.
I've done okay on my goals, although I hit a rough patch for yoga at the beginning of July. I have started a new book and a new baby blanket and have made good first steps on both.
Today I saw my grandma for her 80th birthday, which was very nice, and I get to do lunch with my good friend tomorrow. In the coming weeks, I hope to get more reading, knitting, and yoga done, as well as sticking with my coffee and treat goals for the month.
