I am now officially closing the pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's holiday half-price sale. If you still want to shop, the sale is open until end of day today (Friday December 19). I am off to make a paypal donation and write out a truly epic poem list, so keep your eyes peeled for new poetry! :D

I will be closing the pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's holiday poetry sale Friday around midday. If you're looking to join, now is a good time to do it. :) Things I'm hoping to buy if more people join include the third Shiv poem, more The Big One poems, and more Rutledge poems. If any of this appeals to you, let me know. If you are looking for something else, that is okay too! The more the merrier, and targets can be as flexible as needed. Let's buy some poetry! :D

Hello everyone! The pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's half-price sale is still going on, if anyone wants to jump in. :D I also had more time to look at the list of poems for sale so I thought I would make a more detailed list of my targets in case that is helpful for anyone.

Currently, I'm looking at purchasing all non-Polychrome Heroics poems except for Coracle Shores and Crystal Woods. I'm more than okay with purchasing those poems if s9meone is interested, but for now, they are not on my list. I had Ysabet mark the Arts and Crafts America and Peculiar Obligations threads for the pool, but I'm leaving the rest open for now, in case people have their eyes on the cheap poems.

I have also marked "The Most Dangerous Animal in the Zoo," from the Iron Horses thread and "Shopping for College," and "Each Diverse Human Gift" from the Shiv thread for pool purchase. If there is enough interest, I will also aim for "The Bones of Chihuly," but that one is currently out of price range.

Many of the Polychrome threads with only one poem are on my radar, as well as a few The Big One and Rutledge poems. If you have any questions about targets, just let me know and I will provide more details. Happy shopping!

It's that time of year again! [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having her holiday poetry sale where all unsold 2025 poems are half-price. I will be running a pool for the sale and have a rather generous budget, so anyone who joins the pool will get the quarter-price rate on any poems purchased.

Since my budget is so large, writing out a target list would be really long. Instead, I will name my main goals below and, as always, anyone who joins the pool can name a target of their own. This is a perfect time to jump in if you really want to see a large poem especially, since it will be much easier to cover now than with my regular budget. If you need my paypal details, comment below and I will send them to you. I will close the pool late Thursday/early Friday, so that I can send the funds along to Ysabetwordsmith before the sale ends on Friday. Let's buy some poems!

Main targets:
I'd like to purchase poems from series that don't get much attention or half-price sales often, especially Arts and Crafts America and One God's Story of a Midlife Crisis.
Shiv is a favourite thread, so I'd like to purchase at least one of those epics. My thoughts are the college poem first, since that storyline has had a lot of attention lately, but the art poem is also catching my eye.
The Big One is another thread I'd like to buy poems from, maybe starting with the poem about Bluescreen and Blaze, since the pre-requisite to that was recently purchased.
If there is any money left over, Rutledge is another thread I enjoy reading, along with a few threads that have only one poem, such as Iron Horses.

Again, if there is any poem you really want to see, let me know and I'm more than happy to prioritize that one. Happy holidays everybody!

This is a little early, but I figured early is better than late. XD This week, I'm running a pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's half-price sale. If you'd like to join in, there is still plenty of time. Currently, my targets are the Finn Family thread and the Big One thread. I don't have any specific targets for the Big One at this time, so it's the perfect opportunity to pick the poem you'd like to read the most, if you are interested in that thread. Without any input, my selection process will likely be whatever fits in the budget after the Finn Family thread is taken care of.

In regular news, my goals have been progressing okay. Duolingo is still going strong, yoga is doing okay, I seem to be on track for my book goal, and most of my other ones are decent. I do have a few goals that fell off the face of the earth, but I'm not too upset about them. I definitely think I'm going to restructure my goals for next year though, so that should be an adventure.

Coming up, I want to make sure I hit my reading goal, take care of the leaves on the driveway and lawn, and stay on top of holiday preparations. Everything has been going pretty decently, so it should be okay, but life likes to throw curveballs. Lol

I hope you all are doing well and you have a good ending to the year! See you again soon! 😁

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. If you spend $100 or more, you get the quarter price discount instead. I'll be running a pool again this time, which means everyone who joins will be able to get the quarter price discount.

My targets so far are the entire Finn Family thread, and whichever of the Big One poems will fit in my budget (mostly the shorter ones). If you join the pool, you can name any target you like, even if it isn't one I've listed. I will close the pool late Saturday night so I have time to collect the funds, then I will send the money along to Ysabet on Sunday.

If you are interested, leave a comment below and I will pass along my paypal info to anyone who needs it. Let's buy some poetry!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. My main targets this time are the Shiv thread poems that are not mega-epics (alas for a limited budget), although I was also looking at the Finn Family thread as well, if more people are interested in that one.

Everything is half-price, though if you join the pool, you can activate the quarter-price bonus. Anyone who wishes to contribute can pick one of the targets below, or choose one of their own. If there is a poem you would like, but still can't afford, even with the discount, the pool will be able to help cover the rest.

I will leave the pool open until the night before the sale closes, so I have time to collect all the money and send it to Ysabetwordsmith. If you are interested in the pool, leave a comment below, and I will provide my paypal details for anyone who needs them. Let's buy some poetry!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. I'm willing to run a pool again, if anyone would like to join me. The pool will grant the quarter-price discount, so your dollar goes twice as far, and anyone participating is free to name a target if you want something not listed here. I will leave the pool open until afternoon Saturday, so that I have time to forward the funds to [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith before the end of the sale.

Main Targets for the pool:

The pool is still open, and we've had 3 donors so far, so a few more poems are within reach now! If anyone else is interested in joining, let me know, as there is still time to contribute if you are interested.

Things are shaping up for the holiday season, and I should be able to relax soon. I had the day off work today which was very nice and did help me accomplish a few things. I'm almost done with my blanket, but it's going to be tight to finish it in time for Christmas. I'm looking forward to taking a break from this project, even though I'm happy with how this is shaping up.

Have a good weekend everyone!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's Holiday Sale is active. I have a generous budget for this sale, so I am willing to host a pool if anyone is interested. Joining the pool means everything is automatically quarter price, since I will easily clear the $100 threshold. This doubles your buying power, so you might be able to get things you couldn't afford on your on. If you see something that you'd like but is still too expensive, the pool can help there too! I have a lot of targets that interest me, but even if you'd like something else, the pool can chip in to cover whatever you can't.

Since my list is so long this time, I'm just going to list by overall category for now; I'll list individual poems later, if I need to get more selective.

Targets (Half-Price, Quarter-Price)
An Army of One ($24, $12)
Arts and Crafts America ($30, $15)
Eloquent Souls ($35, $17.50)
Aquariana ($64.50, $32.25)
Broken Angels ($299.50, $149.75)
Iron Horses ($16.50, $8.25)
Officer Pink ($521.50, $260.75)
Shiv ($769.50, $384.75)

I shall come back and add stretch goals if there ends up being a lot of interest in the pool. Let's buy some poetry!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. I will be running a pool this time around, if anyone is interested in joining me. I will have a list of targets below, but anyone who is contributing to the pool can name a target and the pool will do its best to purchase that poem as well. I will close the pool sometime on Saturday so that I have time to collect the funds and forward them to [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith for Sunday.

I'm having a hard time picking targets, since I'd be happy with pretty much anything from the Shiv, Rutledge or Trichromatic Attachments threads, but I'm going to prioritize the best I can.

I'm running a pool for this week's half price sale in Polychrome Heroics. Ng_moonmoth has joined me, and we have 4 targets we'd like to get; the first two poems in the Trichromatic Attachments thread, and the two Mercedes poems. If anyone wants to join in, every little bit helps, and you can comment here or message me if you have any questions.

This week has been okay. I've been feeling a lot better, I managed to get back on track (mostly) with my new year's goals, and I finished my downstairs puzzle, so I have one goal fully finished! I'm hoping to continue this into next week and keep the momentum going. I've been doing snowflake as well, and I'm only two challenges behind, which I should be able to catch up with very soon. Over this weekend, I'm going to look for crowdfunding projects to nominate for the Rose & Bay Awards. Check out the [community profile] crowdfunding community for more details and to nominate your own favourite projects!

Work sucked today. I had to change over a machine that I'm not comfortable with with very little training. I have never learned well this way; I need step by step instructions, with explanations and demonstrations, and then probably watching and assisting 2 - 10 times to build up my comfort and confidence before doing it myself. What happened today, it just frustrates and upsets and overwhelms me, and then I spend the whole time trting not to snap at someone or break down crying. I *hate* having to learn as I go, and it's a very stressful way for me to learn. The only exception to this is if I have all the time in the world, can make as many mistakes or trials as I want, it's something I want to learn or try, and where it doesn't matter if I succeed or fail or if the results are less than perfect. None of that applies at work, so it's miserable for me, and probably doesn't yield the best results; it sure as hell doesn't yield *fast* results.

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a Half-price Sale in Polychrome Heroics. I will be focusing on the Trichromatic Attachments poems this time, starting with "Our Power to Change," which is $168 at quarter price. "Bad Turn to Good" ($36) will be the stretch goal. As always, joining the pool automatically gets you quarter price and if you are contributing money you have a say in the targets. This can be especially handy if you want a poem that is under $100 but still out of range at half-price; joining the pool cuts it in half again.

I will be closing the pool Saturday evening EST, in order to collect the funds and deliver them to Ysabet for Sunday. If anyone is interested, feel free to comment here or PM if you have questions or would like further details.

Thank you to everyone who joined the pool this time and donated funds! We have an absolutely stack of poems coming our way and that wouldn't have happened without all of you chipping in, so again, thank you all! The pool is now officially closed and I will be sending the funds off to [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith as soon as I double check the target list and the math. Poetry will be incoming soon!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
I have indeed decided to run a pool for the Polychrome Heroics Sale this time around. Any contribution amount is welcome, and while I will have a target list, anyone donating money is free to suggest a poem that they would like sponsored. I have enough of my own funds to guarantee quarter-price rate, so everything goes twice as far. That means if you see a poem and are thinking, "Drat, it's $40 and I can only spare $20 right now," joining the pool *will* get you that poem. And if you can only afford $10, or even $5, joining the pool lets you ask for help to reach the amount needed for your desired poem.

I will close the pool late Saturday night so all funds can be collected and sent off in time on Sunday. If anyone needs my paypal info, just PM me and I'll send you what you need to know. My current target list (with prices) can be found below.

Targets:
AQUARIANA
"The Highest Dynamic of the Human Soul" sale price $70, quarter price (q.p.) $35
"The Choices Humans Make" sale price $27.50, q.p. $13.75
"Camping on Finn Skerry" sale price $7.50, q.p. $3.75

BROKEN ANGELS
"Life-Bonding Loyalty" sale price $385.50, q.p. $192.75

I haven't chosen any stretch goals at this point, since I will need a decent amount of interesting just to get these poems, but I'm always interested in Shiv poems, and the Marionnettes poems have caught my eye this time too.

If you have any questions or are interested, please feel free to reach out. Let's buy some awesome poetry!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
Sorry for the short notice again, but there is a poem from Ysabetwordsmith's most recent Fishbowl, "Well Served by a Cosmopolitan Attitude" ($162), that would benefit from being sponsored. It is the first of two Boss Finn poems, and the second has already been sponsored. If anyone is interested, let me know, amd mayne we can get this posted!

(Collection date will probably be Sunday 8th, so that the contribution counts towards the fishbowl total.)
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the pool so far! If there are any last minute takers, I'm planning to close the pool tomorrow evening, around 7pm EST or so, and will forward the funds to Ysabet Sunday morning. There are a lot of poems we will be able to get for sure, plus two remaining interests of mine, which I will list below. If you want to donate still, feel free to suggest your own target, or I can chip the extra toawrds one of the open epics.
