I will be closing the pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's holiday poetry sale Friday around midday. If you're looking to join, now is a good time to do it. :) Things I'm hoping to buy if more people join include the third Shiv poem, more The Big One poems, and more Rutledge poems. If any of this appeals to you, let me know. If you are looking for something else, that is okay too! The more the merrier, and targets can be as flexible as needed. Let's buy some poetry! :D

Hello everyone! The pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's half-price sale is still going on, if anyone wants to jump in. :D I also had more time to look at the list of poems for sale so I thought I would make a more detailed list of my targets in case that is helpful for anyone.

Currently, I'm looking at purchasing all non-Polychrome Heroics poems except for Coracle Shores and Crystal Woods. I'm more than okay with purchasing those poems if s9meone is interested, but for now, they are not on my list. I had Ysabet mark the Arts and Crafts America and Peculiar Obligations threads for the pool, but I'm leaving the rest open for now, in case people have their eyes on the cheap poems.

I have also marked "The Most Dangerous Animal in the Zoo," from the Iron Horses thread and "Shopping for College," and "Each Diverse Human Gift" from the Shiv thread for pool purchase. If there is enough interest, I will also aim for "The Bones of Chihuly," but that one is currently out of price range.

Many of the Polychrome threads with only one poem are on my radar, as well as a few The Big One and Rutledge poems. If you have any questions about targets, just let me know and I will provide more details. Happy shopping!

It's that time of year again! [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having her holiday poetry sale where all unsold 2025 poems are half-price. I will be running a pool for the sale and have a rather generous budget, so anyone who joins the pool will get the quarter-price rate on any poems purchased.

Since my budget is so large, writing out a target list would be really long. Instead, I will name my main goals below and, as always, anyone who joins the pool can name a target of their own. This is a perfect time to jump in if you really want to see a large poem especially, since it will be much easier to cover now than with my regular budget. If you need my paypal details, comment below and I will send them to you. I will close the pool late Thursday/early Friday, so that I can send the funds along to Ysabetwordsmith before the sale ends on Friday. Let's buy some poems!

Main targets:
I'd like to purchase poems from series that don't get much attention or half-price sales often, especially Arts and Crafts America and One God's Story of a Midlife Crisis.
Shiv is a favourite thread, so I'd like to purchase at least one of those epics. My thoughts are the college poem first, since that storyline has had a lot of attention lately, but the art poem is also catching my eye.
The Big One is another thread I'd like to buy poems from, maybe starting with the poem about Bluescreen and Blaze, since the pre-requisite to that was recently purchased.
If there is any money left over, Rutledge is another thread I enjoy reading, along with a few threads that have only one poem, such as Iron Horses.

Again, if there is any poem you really want to see, let me know and I'm more than happy to prioritize that one. Happy holidays everybody!

This is a little early, but I figured early is better than late. XD This week, I'm running a pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's half-price sale. If you'd like to join in, there is still plenty of time. Currently, my targets are the Finn Family thread and the Big One thread. I don't have any specific targets for the Big One at this time, so it's the perfect opportunity to pick the poem you'd like to read the most, if you are interested in that thread. Without any input, my selection process will likely be whatever fits in the budget after the Finn Family thread is taken care of.

In regular news, my goals have been progressing okay. Duolingo is still going strong, yoga is doing okay, I seem to be on track for my book goal, and most of my other ones are decent. I do have a few goals that fell off the face of the earth, but I'm not too upset about them. I definitely think I'm going to restructure my goals for next year though, so that should be an adventure.

Coming up, I want to make sure I hit my reading goal, take care of the leaves on the driveway and lawn, and stay on top of holiday preparations. Everything has been going pretty decently, so it should be okay, but life likes to throw curveballs. Lol

I hope you all are doing well and you have a good ending to the year! See you again soon! 😁

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. If you spend $100 or more, you get the quarter price discount instead. I'll be running a pool again this time, which means everyone who joins will be able to get the quarter price discount.

My targets so far are the entire Finn Family thread, and whichever of the Big One poems will fit in my budget (mostly the shorter ones). If you join the pool, you can name any target you like, even if it isn't one I've listed. I will close the pool late Saturday night so I have time to collect the funds, then I will send the money along to Ysabet on Sunday.

If you are interested, leave a comment below and I will pass along my paypal info to anyone who needs it. Let's buy some poetry!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. My main targets this time are the Shiv thread poems that are not mega-epics (alas for a limited budget), although I was also looking at the Finn Family thread as well, if more people are interested in that one.

Everything is half-price, though if you join the pool, you can activate the quarter-price bonus. Anyone who wishes to contribute can pick one of the targets below, or choose one of their own. If there is a poem you would like, but still can't afford, even with the discount, the pool will be able to help cover the rest.

I will leave the pool open until the night before the sale closes, so I have time to collect all the money and send it to Ysabetwordsmith. If you are interested in the pool, leave a comment below, and I will provide my paypal details for anyone who needs them. Let's buy some poetry!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. If you'd like to buy some poetry, take a look! I'm also planning to run a pool, if anyone would like to join in.

A pool lets us combine funds, so everyone can take advantage of the quarter-price discount, which leads to more poetry! Anyone who wants to join in can name a target, or you can choose to chip in on the targets below. If you would like to join the pool, you can leave a comment here and I will give you my PayPal info for sending money. Late on Saturday, I will close the pool so I have time to collect all the funds and send them along to ysabetwordsmith.

If I have enough interest, I would like to purchase one of the three giant Shiv epics, or open one for microfunding if there is a good start but not enough to buy it outright. If there is not enough interest, I have two other Shiv poems in mind instead.

Giant Epics
"The Release of Human Potentialities" $568 (q.p. $284) OR
"Shopping for College" $639.50 (q.p. $319.75) OR
"The Bones of Chihuly" $618 (q.p. $309)

Cheaper Options
"The First Swath Cut by the Scythe" $106.50 (q.p. $53.25)
"So Monumental and Still" $162 (q.p. $81)

Let's buy some poetry!

This week [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half price sale in Polychrome Heroics. I will be hosting a pool if anyone would like to join me. By getting together in a pool, we can all take advantage of the quarter-price rate and get more poetry. Anyone joining the pool can name a target, or you can choose to contribute to one of mine.

My main three targets are going to be:
A Sanctuary for the Homeless 310
Shopping for College 639.50
The Philosophy of the Sandwich 430.50

Which ones I go for will depend on how many people join in and how much money ends up in the pool. If you are interested, leave me a comment below, and I will pass on my paypal information to anyone who needs it. I will leave the pool open until the night before the sale closes in order to give me enough time to forward all the funds to Ysabet.

Let's buy some poetry!

Hi all! I am running a pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's Holiday Sale (my original post can be found here). Since I have a rather large budget for the sale, my target list is pretty long. This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having her Holiday Sale, which includes all poetry written between December 2023 and November 2024. I will be hosting a pool again, with a fairly large budget this time around.

If you join the pool, you can take advantage of the quarter price discount, which means even more poetry! If you are contributing, you are free to ask for any poem that you'd like to see sponsored. If you don't have enough for the whole poem, that's okay, the pool can chip in! I will make a general list of my targets below, which I'll come back and list in more detail soon. Don't worry if you have a different target in mind, you can definitely still join the pool!

I will aim to close the pool around midnight EST Thursday so that I can send the money along Friday before I go to work.

My general targets: An Army of One, Clay of Life, Daughters of the Apocalypse, Fledgling Grace, Peculiar Obligations*, much of Polychrome Heroics with a focus on Shiv poems, and some of the standalone poems.

*I am interested in the Peculiar Obligations thread, but I will need to check my budget and how much particpation there is in the pool before comitting to this one.

**ETA: My detailed target list can be found here.

Many of the poems are on the cheaper side, so I will hold off on officially claiming them for the pool, just in case anyone else wants to grab the low hanging fruit. I'll definitely be keeping them in mind for the end of the sale though.

I hope we get lots of interest and can buy many poems! Come join the fun!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. There are many poems to choose from, from a variety of threads and in a range of prices.

This time around, I will host a pool, which lets us take advantage of the quarter-price rate. I'm interested in anything Shiv, particularly the poems about him looking into college, but other poems are possible too.

My two main targets are going to be "Renewed Shall Be Blade That Was Broken" sale price $505, and "Life Is a Crazy Ride" sale price $139. More targets can be added if more people join in. Anyone who contributes to the pool is also welcome to name their own target, if neither of these poems appeal.

I will leave the pool open until Saturday night so that I can forward the funds to Ysabetwordsmith before the sale closes on Sunday. If you are interested in join, comment here or send me a message and I can give you my Paypal info.

Happy buying!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. I'll be running a pool this time around, if anyone wants to join me. Since the quarter price deal is in effect for purchases over $100 dollars, pooling funds allows more poetry to be bought. This is great if you have your eye on a bigger poem that's out of reach, or if you see a few smaller ones that you can't choose between. The pool can also help if you see a poem you want but still can't afford at quarter price.

My target this time around is to clear out the entire Rutledge thread, as there are some poems there I've been wanting to see. Anyone who joins the pool is free to name a target of their own, and the pool will help fund the poem as needed. If we end up with more money than needed for the four Rutledge poems, there are a few Shiv ones that catch my eye. There are also a lot of short standalones that are easy targets for a small budget or for leftover funds.

If anyone is interested or has any questions, just drop a comment and I'll be happy to answer. Let's buy some poetry!

[personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics this week. I will once again be running a piol, if anyone wants to join in. Pooling funds allows us to get the quarter-price discount, which means more poems for everyone! If you are chipping in money, you are welcome to suggest a target, if none of mine appeal. If a poem you want is still out of your price range, the pool can also help cover the difference.

This time, I'm focusing on the Rutledge thread and some of the poems that have no thread. I have three targets to start us off, but we can add more as more people join in.

Main Targets
"Not Until We Are Lost"
"Come to a New Point of View"
"Marines Don't Do That"

Stretch Target
"A Tumultuous Privacy of Storm"

Let's buy some poetry!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. There are all kinds of lovely poems for sale, so I'm going to run a pool this time around, if anyone wants to join me.

I have four targets that I'm aiming for first, with one stretch goal in mind and an eye on anything Shiv, if there is a lot of extra funds.

Main Targets:
"A Great Deal of Energy and Determination" $136
"New Rules Every Season" $255.50
"Dreamers and Rebels" $272
"Never So Pretty" $60

Stretch Target:
"Look in Detail at Human Anatomy" $213.50

The main benefit of the pool is that everything gets discounted to quarter price, since we will be spending over $100 (all prices above are the half-price ones). Anyone who has a poem in mind that they can cover at quarter price but not half price is welcome to join the pool and take advantage of the discount. If you can't cover the whole poem, the pool will do its best to help you out. If you only have a little bit to donate, that's okay too! Pick a poem from the target list that you'd like to see, and your contribution will go towards funding that poem.

I will close the pool sometime on Saturday so that I can send the funds along to Ysabetwordsmith before the end of the sale. If you need my paypal information, or you have any other questions, feel free to ask below or send me a PM. Let's buy some poetry!

[personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is having a half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics this week. I'll be running a pool if anyone is interested in joining me. My targets this time are going to be the remaining Finn Family poem, "The Best Gifts Come from the Heart," and the three Shiv poems. If you're interested, just let me know. And if anyone has something else they want to target, feel free to suggest that and I'll see what I can do. :) Let's buy some poems!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
The Polychrome Heroics pool is still running! Thanks to a back channel donation, I am officially adding the Secondary Targets to the pool, and will either be working on The Big One thread or Shiv, depending on how the funds fall and if there is any additional interest.

I will be leaving the pool open until after dinner EST, so there is still time to noin in if anyone is interested!

This week, [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith is hosting a Holiday Poetry Sale. It includes all the poems from 2022 at half price, with quarter price option available if you spend $100 or more. It's a great opportunity to get lots of poetry, since many of her series have poems available, and I will be hosting a pool so more people can take advantage of the quarter price rate.

My budget is much higher than normal this time around, so I will be going after a lot of targets. If you see something on my list that you want, let me know and I can direct your funds to that particular item. If they all sound good, you are free to say "just add it to the pool" in which case I will send the money where needed and work on getting as many poems as possible. Both options free up more of my money to purchase additional poems. Alternatively, if you want something that isn't on my list and you have money to give, you can name the target of your choice and the pool will help you finish it if you can't afford the whole thing. This can be especially helpful if what you want is out of range at half price and doesn't get you to quarter price discount on its own. And if we reach all our goals, anyone contributing to the pool is free to suggest what poems they would like to see as stretch goals.

Without further ado, my massive target list:
(For simplicity's sake, I'm only going to list the quarter price values)

Main Targets
Arts and Crafts America (6 poems) $59.50
Daughters of the Apocalypse (2 poems) $17.75
One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis (1 poem) $20
Schrodinger's Heroes (1 poem) $26.75
Iron Horses (1 poem) $46.50
Kraken (1 poem) $43.25
Marionettes/Finn Family (1 poem) $33.75
Officer Pink (1 poem) $30
Trichromatic Attachments (1 poem) $72.25
"Basic Source of Peace" (Rutledge) $46.50
"The State of Perfect Stillness" (Rutledge) $67.25
"Anything You Want It to Be" (Shiv) $58.25

Secondary Targets (I am leaving these for now in case there are low budget shoppers, but I will pick them up if they are available at the end of the sale.)
An Army of One (1 poem) $12.50
Darrow poems (set of 5) $6.25
Eloquent Souls (1 poem) $8.75
Not Quite Kansas (1 poem) $11.75
Stand-alone poems (3 poems) $8.75
Dr. Infanta (1 poem) $8.25

Stretch Goals
If there are more funds, I would like to grab the other two Shiv poems first, then work of the Rutledge thread that starts with "Clothes Worth Wearing," then work on The Big One thread. The order of these targets is flexible, depending on interest and exact funds, but this is where I'm leaning at the moment.

I hope you decide to join the fun, and any amount is just right!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
First up: The Polychrome Heroics pool is open for business. The original can be found here. I will leave the pool open until tomorrow night, then collect funds to send along to Ysabetwordsmith. The current targets are the Iron Horse thread and the Big One thread. If you are interested, let me know!

Second: It's been a busy week. All the paperwork is done for the move, and this week was less stressful than the last one. I'm almost all packed up so I can almost breathe again. This next week will have the move out, some limbo time, then the move in. And then hopefully I can chill a little bit before the holiday crush.

I don't have much else right now, but hopefully you all have had a good week, and you have a great weekend!
