Fuzzyred's Marvelous Reading Nook

So, I have not posted any new stories for NaNo this week, though I do have one typed up, and I've been dreadfully lax in writing. I'm going to try to get back to it, and have actually written some today, but the goal of 50,000 words by the end of November seems unlikely.

In other news, I'm making lovely progress on the beta reading, and I have made some progress on the blanket. If I keep going, meeting two out of three goals for the month isn't bad. Especially since I am not a writer my nature and this is still an experiment for me. At this point, I am leaning towards saying that I will continue to work on the bingo cards, even after NaNo is done, because I had some fun ideas and writing is fun sometimes. :)

I hope anyone else doing NaNoWriMo is doing as well as they want to be. You can do it guys, there is still have the month left!

I wasn't sure I was going to finish one today, but I did manage to write a story. It gives us a more detailed look at the art instructor from "A Helping Hand".

I wrote my third story! And 1,000ish words seems to be my average. I have a whole new appreciation for dialecticdreamer, and all the stories she writes for us during her prompt calls. I also understand a little better how her stories usually end up over 500 words, even though that is the standard amount she quotes.

This story again uses the same characters as before, but it takes place earlier in the timeline, just at the beginning of their friendship. It stands alone, but I'm hoping it gives a little more back story to my characters. (P.S. I did not intend to write all related posts, but it does seem to look most of them will use these characters.)

I filled my first prompt for NaNoWriMo! I'm not sure how many words it is yet, but it's a little over six journal pages long, and my rough estimate puts it at about 800 words. Not bad for writing at work! *GRIN*

All of my NaNo stuff will be original fiction, unless otherwise stated, but it's highly unlikely I'll write any fanfic; I don't think I could stay in character enough for that. I will also include a link at the end of every post so that you can check out the Bingo card I'm pulling inspiration from. So, without further ado, my first fic of November!

So, I'm going to try NaNoWriMo again, with the hopes of making the word count. Instead of trying to write a story from scratch (sorry to anyone still waiting for me to post more of my elf story; I promise I haven't forgotten!), I'm going to use a bingo card for prompts for individual stories. I used a bunch of lists to generate my own random one so it is quite a mixed bag and might be a bit of a challenge. I don't know if the stories will be connected or stand alone yet, we shall see as it goes. Bingo card below! (I hope.)
