Holiday Poetry Sale!

This week, ysabetwordsmith is hosting a Holiday Poetry Sale. It includes all the poems from 2022 at half price, with quarter price option available if you spend $100 or more. It's a great opportunity to get lots of poetry, since many of her series have poems available, and I will be hosting a pool so more people can take advantage of the quarter price rate.

My budget is much higher than normal this time around, so I will be going after a lot of targets. If you see something on my list that you want, let me know and I can direct your funds to that particular item. If they all sound good, you are free to say "just add it to the pool" in which case I will send the money where needed and work on getting as many poems as possible. Both options free up more of my money to purchase additional poems. Alternatively, if you want something that isn't on my list and you have money to give, you can name the target of your choice and the pool will help you finish it if you can't afford the whole thing. This can be especially helpful if what you want is out of range at half price and doesn't get you to quarter price discount on its own. And if we reach all our goals, anyone contributing to the pool is free to suggest what poems they would like to see as stretch goals.

The order of these targets is flexible, depending on interest and exact funds, but this is where I'm leaning at the moment.

Wow! Quite the list. Don't hsve time right now; we were up waytoolate watching the finale of the 1/6 Committee miniseries and post-show reviews, and have an afternoon date with James Cameron. But should check in this evening with an idea of budget and targets.

Yay! No rush, I'm not going anywhere. And yes, I was once again able to budget much extra for the holiday sale, so I can take a whack at a whole bunch of targets. (Also why I offered to run the pool, I figure less work for me to figure it out than to drop all the cash on someone else and say "I want all the things" XD)

Finally found some time

So I took a look at where things were and what I might want, picked a bunch of things -- and found that most of them were secondary targets! So I looked again.

Anyway, I will buy out the Bear Tunnels poem ($54.25) and The Big One thread ($111.50), and send US$165.75 your way later today.

Hope the nasty weather isn't treating you too badly.

In that case, I will focus on Shiv and Rutledge, possibly the epics, based on how many funds are available.

We've got a lot of wind and cold temperatures, but not a lot of snow yet. I hope the weather isn't treating you too badly over there.

The far western part of the continent is unaffected by what's afflicting the rest. Here in the San Francisco Bay area, things are mostly sunny right now, with highs in the mid-teens and lows in the 5-10 range. We've had a week and change of dry weather -- concerning at this time of year -- but the normal winter rain pattern looks ready to reassert itself next week.

Glad to hear you don't have bad weather, and that the seasonal rains should be returning to you soon. It remains mostly wind here, and as far as I can tell, we haven't suffered any wind damage locally so that's good.
