Why do people things it's weird when I fidget or flap my hands? Why do they have to comment on it amd ask about it? Why is it so hard for me to remember to check if people can see me before reaching my hands behind my head (like you would to put a ponytail in) and twisting my hands back and forth at the wrist? Why can't I be less fidgety? Why can't I just be me without people making comments and making me feel strange and different?
Side note about the title of the post: the j sounds like a y, and it is Naa Vodo, but I don't have an accurate translation for it. What I'm realizing about Naa Vodo is that I can't translate it word for word, or sometimes at all. There are meanings and I can use it to express myself, but I can't really put any of it into English, other than a few words with dorect translations. I'm thinking if I use it enough, translating will be easier, but for me, I don't need an Englisb equivalent in order to use Naa Vodo.

Oooo, that would be fun and nice. Though I'm so used to not flapping, it might not happen. This is what happens when people tell you you're weird all the time.
Also, I think the next time I have some extra spending money, I'm going to have to look for better fidgets than a fidget cube. It's nice, but not always what my flappy, fidgety hands want. And now to track down Ysabet's poem with the link to different fidgets (and maybe the one that lets you test your learning style too).

Better fidgets to google for: Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty - my kids have a HUGE tin of Scarab, and I have a small tin of Moon Dust...
Also, Squigz! (some of those glow in the dark too!)

Oooooo, they're so pretty! I might have to sit down and choose a colour, or two, or five... They have one called Dino poop, which made me laugh a lot. It's pretty though.
The squigz look interesting, but I think the thinking putty might be better for me. I don't typically do a lot of building, so something that I can move is better, like the cube, or a fidget spinner, or putty. Something "normal"-ish I can play with to channel the fidgetyflaps, as opposed to structured movement. Is the putty slimy?

Spinners are good and are mainstream enough now that they don't get look at funny... But I don't know of a good source personally.

I can probably find a store here that sells them without too much trouble.
