Comfort Corner

The carpet is thick, soft and cream coloured, while the walls are a yellow bronze colour. In the corner along one wall there is a large sofa, able to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably. Along the other corner wall there is a smaller sofa for 2 or 3 people. In the middle of the furniture, there is a low, round coffee table, perfect for colouring at or for other craft activities.

There is a scratching post and a cat tree for climbing, which are both along the wall opposite the couch. A few fluffy beds have also been put out, in varying sizes, in case any one prefers the floor. There is also a large sturdy perch and a marked off area that says "Landing Pad" in case any winged friends want to visit.

There is now a blue chaise chair in the nook as well, which has been placed near the couch and is good for both sitting and spreading out lengthwise.

There are two baskets off to the side. One contains fuzzy blankets, a variety of fuzzy and textured pillows, and a collection of stuffed animals while the other contains a variety of art supplies, ranging from colouring pages and blank paper to crayons and coloured pencils, and more besides.

Among today's food offerings: lemonade, apple cider, vanilla cake, fresh fruits and vegetables with dips, and fixings for chicken fajitas.

The bear shambles in with a tub of homemade teriyaki sauce and a rice cooker full of steamed rice, and bite-sized brownies

Heh! The straight-up chicken will do just fine with the teriyaki if you feel like swapping hemispheres... since I just had some teriyaki, I think I'll go with the fajitas.. and ooh, vanilla cake.

*plops down with a small plateful for a good snuggle*

Ooo! Teriyaki sauce and brownies! *makes a plate of rice and chicken and teriyaki, throwing in a few of the sauteed onions for fun, putting a few brownies on a separate plate for later*

*The old grey fox spies the open door. He’s wary about going in, having never been here before, but the smell of fresh chicken (his favourite) is too much to pass up. He slips in quietly and fixes a small plate, then scurries over to the basket of blankets and pillows. He burrows into the pile, making himself a little den, and looks around to see if anyone noticed.*

"Hi there." Fuzzy J smiles at the fox, glad to see he felt comfortable enough to come in, but willing to give him his space in the nest of blankets.

Kitty J pops out and carefully ambles over, sniffing around the nest, but still careful not to invade the fox's personal space, waiting for an invitation if the fox wants to snuggle.

*Fox recognizes his new friend and is happy to see a familiar face. With a bit of twisting and squirming, he he widens the little pocket between the blankets so that it is big enough to share.*

“You’re welcome to join me in here. :) It’s just right for cuddles and snuggles.”

~Yay!~ Kitty J darts into the available pocket and settles down for some good snuggles. *purrPURRpurr*

With the big pile of blankets blocking out the outside world, Kitty’s purrs are the only sound. Fox wraps his bushy tail around her to make her more comfortable, and nuzzles his ear down close to her throat, so that every purr reverberates through him - and *sighs* contentedly. :)

Plain apple cider, a non-alcoholic batch, but I have plenty of choice to add if you want something.
