Weekly Update
Hello again everyone! This week was much better than last week. I'm pretty much over whatever illness I had, though there is a bit of a lingering cough still. The retirement celebration Friday night was a lot of fun, although I did end up getting a ride home from a coworker. I had too much too drink to be able to drive, but I managed to stay on the right side of too much, so I didn't have a hangover Saturday morning. I had a fantastic time this weekend visiting my friend, and I was able to have some chill alone time with my boyfriend on Sunday. All in all, it was a very good weekend, and I still managed to get most of my to-do list done.
Being mostly over the sickness has meant that I've had a lot more energy this week. I still haven't made it back to the gym, but I've been a lot better about yoga and most of my other goals. I actually sat down and worked on my socks again,so now I only have 32 rows to go! I've also made 5 out of 6 flower shaped "coasters" to go under my mom's plants. This leaves me very well set up to finish the last one in time for Mother's day.
Coming up, I want to finish my socks, and make some more progress on the French novel I started reading. It's a book geared toward 8-12 year-olds about a boy and a stallion that end up ship-wrecked on a deserted island. The topic makes it interesting for me, and the age range means that writing is just simple enough for me to mostly understand. There are still a lot of vocabulary words that are unfamiliar to me, but most of them I've been able to pick up from context so far.
I also need to get out in the garden now that the weather is getting nicer. I need to figure out what, if any, annuals my sister and I want to plant, and I need to do some weeding and trimming of plants. I bought more mulch for the garden, but I haven't found a day to spread that around yet.
Overall, I'm feeling good with where I'm at right now, I just have make sure I stay on top of things. I should also check out some of my longer/more ambiguous goals, so maybe I will do that when I make my April goal review. I hope you all are doing well, and have a to chance to enjoy any nice weather you may have. :)
