I don't feel like spilling my guts all over the internet (again), but I'm feeling lonesome and in want of attention, and since I can be honest enough to admit that being seen and acknowldeged for who I am is something I need, I still want to spill my guts anyway.

PM me whatever you want to about what's bothering you. I will listen regardless, and respond as you are up to it. And then, after you're done, haul the waste out to the (skip? dumpster? What's appropriate Canadian?), clean up what's left, and make a haggis.

I just might do that. Depends on what my brain decides to do today. Dumpster works, although now I'm wondering where "skip" comes from.

J uncurls just enough to wave hi, and to wave her two grey and pink crochet squares in the air (though one is still in progress.)

It comes from Britain; it's the British English equivalent. "Dumpster" : "skip" :: "hood" : "bonnet :: "eraser" : "rubber", etc. And, Canada being more recently and strongly tied to England, I wasn't sure which term the local vernacular used.

Aha. I'm aware of a lot of the Biritsh terms, but "skip" isn't one I've heard before. I think most of our words are closer to the American than the British, but I am also in a border city, so maybe that factors in.
