A hexaduad for the "restoring wilderness" square on the Public Activities Card for Fresh Starts Bingo Fest.

Planting Seeds
a hexaduad

A tree,
its leaves,
growing in the hot sun;
the work has just begun.
One of many put in the ground,
this seed starts to turn things around.
Soil that was bare
becomes aware
of the efforts to fix
this mess as the clock ticks.
Buy it, plant it,
save the planet.

A Cinquain for the "unboxing" square of the Public Activities Card for Fresh Starts Bingo Fest.

Surprise
a cinquain

A gift,
time to open,
wonder what it is?
A brand new book to get lost in,
perfect!

An Indriso for the "decluttering" square on the Public Activities Card for Fresh Starts Bingo Fest.

Cleaning House
an indriso

Time to clean the house,
to go from many things to few.
"Not now," the children grouse.

Come, it will be easy to do.
Do you still wear this blouse?
Let's give it to someone new.

Keep the favourites that bring you joy,

Donate the rest, pass on the toy.

A Shadorma for the "beginning a blog or journal" square on the Public Activities Card for Fresh Starts Bingo Fest.

Release
a shadorma

The first word
written on the page
gives relief;
paves the way
for many more thoughts to come,
no longer confined.

This is a Triversen for the "taking on a new responsibility" square on the Public Activities Card for Fresh Starts Bingo Fest. I'm not sure how well I followed the form, not sure if my lines are 2 to 4 feet each, but I'm happy with how it turned out, and proud that I managed to do something even close to what the form called for.

Loving You
a triversen

Welcome to my home,
I hope you'll like it here,
a place you can make your own.

You say you're different than the rest
but that's okay with me,
I will love you all the same.

I know this is new,
take all the time you need,
I'm not in any rush.

As your guardian,
I will do my best to
support you any way I can.

Sports or dresses,
wherever your interests lead,
I will be there.

A silent presence
always at your side
as you make your place in this life.

Here is an anagrammatic poem for the "renovating a building" square on the Public Activities Card for Fresh Starts Bingo Fest. This was tricky to do, and is less structured and sensical than the other poems so far, but I think I managed okay. I did follow the example on the page about the poem, so while I stuck to only the letters in the title, I doubled them as needed, instead of sticking to *just* the 12 in the title.

Paintbrushes
an anagrammatic poem

Paint, brush, pan;
push the rubbish in the bin.
Brush taps, tan past,
paint trees here; better.

Sure start, renters tip,
"Trash here, bin there,
tint this, turn that."
Better, better than the past.

I'm really liking using short poetic forms to fill my bingo card. The words seem to flow a lot easier when I'm not trying to craft a story or a plot. This one is a Magic 9 poem, for the "launching a new group" square on the Public Activities Card for Fresh Starts Bingo Fest.

Discussion Club
a Magic 9

Reading books
is much more fun
than it looks.
Pull up a chair
as we set our hook;
cookies and company
and a cozy nook.
Meetings Sunday at one,
we hope the bait was took!
