It wasn't. It was...part of the marass of things I found out about my parents in the last few years that meant "infantilization"...

I still have a hard time not thinking of anyone I live for whose energy feels stronger than mine as authority figures. Whether they want to be or not.

I'm okay when I'm on my own, but as soonas I hae a perceived authority person...
