ysabetwordsmith mentioned Energy balls that she buys that seem to contain way more real ingredients than the protein bars do. They also seemed like something I could make from scratch so we'll have to see. I already have fruits and veggies in my lunch, so they wouldn't work as substitutes for me; not the right kind of profile to replace the bars. I also pretty much exclusively make lunch meat sandwiches,but I'm not ready to try to replace those yet.

Thanks. I'm hoping it goes well, though I am a bit apprehensive.

I'm very much looking forward to the long weekend. Although I thought May 2-4 was an American thing... Ah well, a long weekend is a long weekend, whatever it gets called.
