Bonus Comfort Corner

The carpet is thick, soft and cream coloured, while the walls are a yellow bronze colour. In the corner along one wall there is a large sofa, able to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably. Along the other corner wall there is a smaller sofa for 2 or 3 people. In the middle of the furniture, there is a low, round coffee table, perfect for colouring at or for other craft activities.

There is a scratching post and a cat tree for climbing, which are both along the wall opposite the couch. A few fluffy beds have also been put out, in varying sizes, in case any one prefers the floor. There is also a large sturdy perch and a marked off area that says "Landing Pad" in case any winged friends want to visit.

There is now a blue chaise chair in the nook as well, which has been placed near the couch and is good for both sitting and spreading out lengthwise. There are also two armchairs; one an oversized, deep gray leather chair, the other a square fabric armchair in deep blue with light purple swirls on it (Think this style except not grey).

There are two baskets off to the side. One contains fuzzy blankets, a variety of fuzzy and textured pillows, and a collection of stuffed animals while the other contains a variety of art supplies, ranging from colouring pages and blank paper to crayons and coloured pencils, and more besides.

There are games, a shade tent, and a sprinkler set up outside, in case anyone wants to venture out on this last weekend of August. There are plenty of snacks and beverages, and protection against the sun, so come on and enjoy the fun, wherever you want to be :)

Doing pretty well, almost done making my temperature blanket :D This week has kinda been a rollercoaster for emotions, but I seem to have mostly evened out now.

Too many weekends spent in the hot.

A cool drink and my spot under the chaise will suit me just fine today. =]

Ashes pads in, in lion form, though she's a small lion, a cub really, so her flopping on the swirly armchair won't cause a problem. She tucks her tail around her nose, more like a kitten than a lion, and gives Fuzzy J a friendly little bat-bat with a paw.

Cautious sneaks in, finds a spot near the window so they can peek out at things going on outside and produces a pack ofolored pencils and a journal from the inside pocket of their jacket. They start writing an entry, but do sneak out a hand to pass Fuzzy J a special bag of sweets just for her.

I don't blame you at all. I usually try to do something special for the fifth Sundays of the month, and it's summer so I usually go for outside things, but it's so dang hot here I don't even want to leave the house. Hopefully the cooler weather is coming soon.

It will be September in a few days, so hopefully the hot peeters out soon.

"Hi Ashes!" Fuzzy J gives Ashes a few pets, waiting to see if lions like being pet as much as kittens do before continuing. Behind her, Kitty J pops in and leaps onto the armcahir, mewing a hello, and wondering if she can curl up with Ashes.

Fuzzy J lets Cautious continue with their writing, but does accept the bag of treats. "Hello! Thank you for the sweets, I'm sure they are delicious. Would you like some company while you write?"
