Bingo Fill: Experimentation

For my "Experimentation" square on my 5x5 Mixed Card for the Valentine's Bingo fest, I wrote a hexaduad, sort of. I couldn't get the last two lines to rhyme, but in keeping with the theme of the prompt, I went with it anyway.

Try me
maybe;
exploring is such fun,
looking for the right one.
A dab of this, a dab of that,
find the one good enough to last.
Soft? Hard? Sting? Thud?
Oops, that a dud!
When trying something new,
there's bound to be a few:
brush yourself off
and try again!
