Attempting Fashion
Aug. 12th, 2019 03:32 pmSo, I went out amd did a thing today. I attempted to make a capsule watdrobe, because my closet needs updating and I never feel like I have anything to wear. I have a lot of black and grey tops already, so I bought a pair of black slacks, a pair of grey almost-jeans, and an XL grey skirt from the kids section. I also bought a bright salmon skirt, a grey t-shirt, a bright coral/fuschia top (solid colour, not quite sure what to call it), and a see-thriugh white blouse with bright pink zigzags. Everything was on sale so with the 7 items and a handbag, my total was less than $35. Woohoo! I also didn't try anything on which thankfully didn't bite me this time; only two items are a little off. The white blouse is a style that doesn't look good on me so I probably won't wear it very often, and the skirt is a little bit tight but still wearable.
All in all, not a bad haul, but I'm not quite sure what colour woukd work with the pink; I'm pretty sure I can buy one more accent colour. I'm thinking maybe blue? I tend towards deep red and dark purple but I don't think those would go with the pink, although they might match the grey. I think I'm a warm spring for colour seasons, though I might also be able to do warm autmun. Any thoughts on colour schemes?
