Getting Things Done
Mar. 24th, 2022 04:12 pmI took the day off today and managed to wake up early and get a good start on getting stuff done. I've gotten all the daily stuff done this week, although my Duolingo app stopped working and the website said I missed Saturday's lesson, which I swear I didn't. I've also kept up with the entries for Ysabetwordsmith, so that's really nice.
Having the day off was rather nice, and it gave me a chance to do some of the baking I needed to do for this weekend. I also worked on the shawl I started, although I've only managed one row so far today. I'm up to 8 rows out of 35, and crocheting a pattern that is 175 stitches long is going better than I expected. I did have to go out and buy two more balls, but they were on sale so it was only 10 bucks. The shawl is grey, light purple, and dark purple, with satiny yarn, and a sort of lacey pattern. I'm really pleased with it so far and looking forward to finishing it up. I was also able to finish the mittens for my dad and get them to him on Sunday which made me happy. :)
Illbe going up to visit friends this weekend, and I'm hoping to get in the garden and clear some dead stuff, as well as work more on my shawl. I really need to find time to finish up my puzzle but there isn't a clear easy spot to work on right now, so the motivation to work on it is low.
I also helped my sister dye her hair today, and I'm debating joining her and her husband for dinner, but I do still want to get more stuff done, so I'm not sure I want to give up that time. We'll see how things go I guess.
