Weekly Update
Jun. 23rd, 2022 08:51 amThis week has been fairly average. We had a few really hot days and I've been unmotivated, plus I was sneezy and congested over the weekend and Monday which was not fun at all. It may have been allergies, or possibly the fact that I was in a cooler place and then came back to what felt like 100 degree weather. Whatever it was, I'm feeling much better now though, so that's nice.
I have a lot of things I need to do today, and I'm going to try to get them done, but I mostly just feel like flopping on the couch when I get done work, so we'll see. I started off doing well with my daily tasks this year, and then it seems like towards the end of April, beginning of May I lost all momentum and trying to recover is hard. Especially on the fitness front; I want to be in shape and healthy, but I also rather feel like just saying f*ck it in regards to the skipping. I may need re-examine how I want to approach health and cardio, because I'm not sure if the current model is sustainable long term. I also really need to get back into doing yoga. I enjoy it and I find I like both the physical and mental/spiritual benefits, but a few busy weekends derailed me there too.
Next week... I don't even know. I'll be on afternoons and maybe I can shake a few things loose and get going again, knock a few things off my list. I did have an enjoyable weekend last weekend despite the sneezing, because I went to the local Carrousel of Nations and enjoyed some delicious food. I also saw my dad Sunday for Father's Day, so that was good too.
I hope everyone has a good weekend and next week, and that you have access to all the motivation you need (and that I'm lacking).
