Weekly Update
Mar. 9th, 2023 03:53 pmAll things considered, this has been a pretty good week. I managed to meet all my daily goals, and I might finally (maybe) be at a point where I can start working on some of my longer term goals. There have been multiple moments where everything has seemed like too much and I lose it a bit, but I'm working on getting a handle on that too, and may be able to make some progress there. If I remember, I will bring it up at my therapy appointment next week; maybe the therapist will have some ideas because I'm running low on them, other than the infeasible (though very tempting), "Please, for the love of fuck, can someone else be in charge for awhile?"
Other good news, my grandpa seems to be doing better after a rocky couple weeks in the hospital, so I'm hopeful that there are more good days ahead for him. I also had a fantastic time on Saturday watching the men's Brier with my friend; quality hang out time and some awesome curling to watch. The family time on Sunday was fun but draining, and I crashed real hard when I got home, but my Monday did go okay.
I'm looking forward to a relaxing Saturday (pretty sure I have no plans) and then on Sunday my sister and I are going to a maple syrup festival at a provincial park. With any luck, I can manage to get my equilibrium back and not feel like I'm swinging from crisis to crisis, and from handling things to completely wigging the hell out.
I hope everyone has been having a good week, and for those going through a hard time, I wish you all the best and lend you all the strength you need to get through the challenges you face.
I'm going to throw a couple songs behind a cut, because they've been swimming around my head but they might not be to everyone's taste.
( songs that don't conform to society's 'norms' )
