Weekly Update

The past week has been fairly decent. Made most of my daily goals, got my car fixed (so far it seems like the problem was diagnosed correctly), got out and did some weeding, and work wasn't terrible. I had a very busy but good weekend; most of it actually involved coworkers, but in social settings that were a lot of fun. I had a good time and didn't over-people myself, though I think I gave myself a mild version of heat exhaustion Saturday, even though I was trying to be careful.

I don't have anything major planned for this weekend, though my aunt's birthday is Friday, so I believe we'll end up doing something Saturday. Perhaps I can use the bulk of this weekend to recharge; I've been feeling pretty blah and uncreative lately. I am working on a little crochet project for the same coworker that requested the hat, but I feel like I'm lacking motivation to do much of anything, whether that be something recreational or something mundane like chores.

Shockingly, I am actually writing this before work, so my Thursday post will happen *on* a Thursday for once. After I post this, I think I shall finish the last bit of work on my crochet project, do a yoga video, and then try to pull some pesky weeds before work (they are never-ending man).

Sweltering here, so I've spent most of the time indoors.

It has been very warm and humid here, or raining, so I haven't been out much. Half an hour or so of yard work isn't bad though, especially if I time it to be in the shade.

I've been feeding the birds in the afternoon and putting water out if necessary, then nothing until I water plants in the evening.

That sounds very sensible. My schedule (both work and sleep) meams that unfortunately all my free time seems to be between 11am and 2pm, so I've been doing a little bit on days when I have energy, then leaving the rest for later.

Worst time to be outdoors in summer, that sucks. :(

I know. I try to limit my time for that reason, but I'm just not set up to take advantage of the cooler times at the moment.

here in Amsterdam, the weather is in the 60's F (22-24C) and BREEZY, but that's par for the course for Nederland, the breezy part. Windmills!

And it occurs to me that I need a Nederlander icon... or two or three...

That sounds like perfect sweater weather! I hope you're having a great trip! It's been hovering between 27 and 29 here (81-85F) but humid as all get out.

Sweater? SweatING more like, with humidity from the water... it hasn't cleared 25C atall but we're all drippy after a good walk... thank goodness this tiny room has a mini air conditioner in it, I'm sitting here basking in front of it... 22 and drop the humidity and it'll be comfortable eventually.

Yeah, I start melting north of 27C... uff da.

Ah, I misread 60s as simply "60". High sixties is definitely not sweater weather. Ya, humidity makes everything less pleasant. The mini air conditioner sounds like a very good thing. :)
