Late Weekly Update

Unsurprisingly, I'm late again with my weekly post. I do at least have a reason this time. Thursday was my early birthday celebration with coworkers, and I was hung over most of Friday, so nothing much got done. My Cedar Point trip on Sunday was a whole lot of fun, with only a minor detour on the way home because of a malfunctioning GPS. The rest of the week was pretty ordinary, though I've been on vacation since Wednesday.
Wednesday I didn't do much of anything, just kind of hung around the house. Thursday I had lunch with a good friend, then went axe throwing with a group of coworkers and out for drinks after with some of them. Axe throwing was a whole lot of fun and it was nice to hang out with my coworkers outside of work. Drinks after were also good, and led to a few more conversations, although I did have a bit more than I planned on. Friday was therefore spent mostly recovering, but I was fine enough to have pizza with my mom for dinner, and we had cake with my sister when she got home. My sister made me a chocolate chip cake that was very yummy, so that was nice to have.
Today (Saturday) was pretty lazy, but I did hang out with a friend in the evening and I managed to get some chores done as well. I also finished the flower puzzle I started and swept the driveway again so I'm pleased with that. Other progress I'm pleased with; I have reached my goals for both Hawaiian and Polish on Duolingo! This means I have hit 4 out of 5 long term goals there, which makes me very happy. Unfortunately, Duolingo redid their French course again, so I have no way to measure my progress there at the moment. I do know I've practiced French when I was supposed to and have finished a number of units, so as long as I keep making progress until the end of the year, I'm going to call it good enough.
Coming up, I have Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday with family, and then I'm going in to work on Monday. As this should be the holiday for us, I essentially make triple time on Monday, so it's well worth giving up the day off, in my opinion. I'm going to try to stay on top of yard work this week, and getting some other things done, but we'll see how life goes.
I hope everyone is doing well and life isn't throwing you too many curveballs. Take care, have a wonderful weekend, talk to you all soon. :)
