Place candy canes in a sturdy ziplock like a freezer bag, and seal.
Wrap in a dishtowel.
Place on a sturdy surface, like a floor.
Pound with a durable tool such as a mallet or meat tenderizer.
I crushed mine on the countertop with a marble rolling pin, so I needed to be a little more careful. But with a few minor changes, you can flail away with greater abandon!
