March Monthly Goal Review

March had ups and downs. Some things went well, some things not so much. Hopefully April can be more consistent.
--Earn 30XP a day on Duolingo. Try to complete one "topic" a day.
---I missed one day entirely, and got less than 30XP another day, but otherwise I've still been keeping up with this goal fairly well.
--Practice French and Polish twice a week, practice Hawaiian, Esperanto, and German once a week. I might change this later, but for now I will keep this format in hopes of making progress on all five languages.
---I stuck to my practice schedule, except for the missed day.
--Complete 15 units in French (Unit 17 of Section 8), complete 10 units in Polish (Unit 13 of Section 3), complete 5 units in Hawaiian (Unit 16 of Section 2), complete 5 Legendary units in Esperanto (Unit 11 of Section 2), complete 5 units in German (Unit 6 of Section 3).
---I feel like I'm making decent progress here, although I don't know if I'm doing enough to be on track for the French goal.
--Purchase a gym membership (completed Jan 3). Go to the gym at least twice a week. I expect this one will need an adjustment period, since this is new this year and the time commitment is going to be tricky to figure out.
---I had two weeks where I went to the gym twice, one where I went once, and two where I didn't go at all. I'm not really happy with this, but my motivation to go has been fluctuating and I'm not sure how to change that. I haven't given up yet though, so that makes me happy.
--Do yoga every day except Mondays. However, if I don't do yoga on a day I go to the gym, I'll be okay with that.
---I missed eight days in March, which is worse than last month. I have no excuse, other than just not feeling like it. I want to get back on track with this, since yoga really does help my mental state.
--Make a weekly post on Thursdays and make the Comfort Corner posts on the first third and fifth Sundays of the month.
---I have been on time with all my Sunday posts in March, and I had only one late Thursday post this month.
--Cook once a week. I may need to try making things to freeze, so that I can have more variety in my meals and can stick to this goal better.
---I have cooked something every week, though I was later than I like to be one week. I still need to figure out a decent recipe repertoire so I'm not just winging it.
--Do the dishes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays as well as after any cooking or baking I do.
---I missed four days, some Wednesdays, some Sundays. I knew at the beginning that I wouldn't hit all three days, but it gives me something to aim for, and it helps keep on top of the dishes better.
--Water daily and weed weekly during the growing season (May to September probably).
---Not relevant yet, though I may need to start this in April. I'm starting to see weeds in the garden, and we need to some new mulch down.
--$X/week in savings.
---Success for March!
--Donate to charity once a month. Create the list by January 15. (List created Jan 2)
---Done for March.
--Read one book a month. Make a list by January 15. (List creatd Jan 2)
---I read "Spellsinger," "The Warlock," and "The Enchantress" in March. "Spellsinger" was a fantasy that I wasn't sure I would enjoy but ended up being a fun read. The other two books were books 5 and 6 of "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicolas Flammel" series. I have now completed the series! I really enjoyed this series, and I enjoyed the final two books a lot. :)
--Play flute once a month.
---Done in March. I practiced songs from my Pirates of the Caribbean book.
--Participate in at least one bingo fest. Tentatively, the Valentine's fest looks most promising, though a few others look intriguing as well.
---I didn't make a card for the National Craft Month bingo, though the cards were very tempting. Maybe I'll go back later in the year to grab a card or use the lists, if my writing mojo ever comes back.
--Work on old bingo cards.
---No progress yet.
--Finish socks.
---I started the second sock and made it all the way to the heel. I'm about a month ahead of the sub goals I set, so I'm very happy with this.
--Do one knit or crochet project. I have several ideas for this, so hopefully I can achieve this early.
---I crocheted a dishcloth. The edges turned out uneven, but it still looks out and will function just fine. I'm planning to crochet some "coasters" for my mom's plants for mother's day, I just have to find a pattern first.
--Get one colour of fabric cut for my quilt.
---No progress still.
--Join one crafting class. A local art store offers options, so hopefully I will find something that catches my eye.
---I still haven't joined any classes.
--Complete one puzzle.
---No progress in March.
--Take one "me" day a month. Hopefully I can plan these better this year and actually get more benefit out of them.
---I did this in March. The original day I had schedule was spent at the local art gallery and was a nice day but didn't have a lot of alone time. I took the next Sunday as a far more restful me day, which was very nice.
--Go rock climbing or do a ropes course. This might be one I can do with my sister, which will make it extra fun.
---I haven't done any more climbing or ropes courses yet.
--Do one outside activity a month.
---I took a walk with a friend by his work. It was a nice little walk and it was great company. :)
--Answer DW comments as I get them. Answer 5 per weekend to clear any backlog that may accumulate.
---I missed three out of five days, but I have answered some comments as they come in, and I hope to do better with this in April.
--Fill in wall calendar with all recurring goals by January 15. (Done Jan 2)
--Improve inter-personal and intra-personal skills. I don't have a plan for this yet, but this feels like a weak area to me and I'd like to shore it up.
---I haven't made a plan or anything for this yet.
--Determine whether finding a new therapist or other mental health professional would be beneficial. Make a plan with concrete steps to improve at least one slice of the Circle of Life.
---This is another one that I haven't had time to start yet.
--Mark daily tasks as they are completed. Write a monthly goal review at the end of each month.
---I have been doing well with marking off things as I conplete them or shortly after I've done them. The March goal review is a whole week late, which is not great but could be worse.
--Do one seasonal activity each season.
---I set the time frame for winter as "January, February, December," and I did not go skating yet, so this will have to wait until the end of the year now. I haven't done my spring activity yet, but I do have tentative plans for it.
--**--I don't really have a place for marking fun things I did this year, but I do want to mention that I went axe throwing with coworkers. My sister always put together an Amazing Race party thing that was a whole lot of fun and had some challenges that took place outside. It was very nice to do these things, and I wanted to mark them somewhere.
March had some downsides but it wasn't too bad. Hopefully April is more consistent with making goals, and I can make some progress on the long term ones.
