October Monthly Goal Review

October was a pretty good month. I did a lot of fun things and I did decently on my goals, although the month was rather busy and I feel like I didn't do as well as I wanted to. More details behind the cut.
--Earn 30XP a day on Duolingo. Try to complete one "topic" a day.
---Successful daily practice in October.
--Practice French and Polish twice a week, practice Hawaiian, Esperanto, and German once a week. I might change this later, but for now I will keep this format in hopes of making progress on all five languages.
---I stuck to my practice schedule in October.
--Complete 15 units in French (Unit 17 of Section 8), complete 10 units in Polish (Unit 3 of Section 4), complete 5 units in Hawaiian (Unit 30 of Section 2), complete 5 Legendary units in Esperanto (Unit 30 of Section 2), complete 5 units in German (Unit 6 of Section 3).
---I think I have succeeded with all of these, except perhaps the French goal. I still have more progress I would like to make there by the end of the year.
--Purchase a gym membership (completed Jan 3). Go to the gym at least twice a week. I expect this one will need an adjustment period, since this is new this year and the time commitment is going to be tricky to figure out.
---I missed eight days of cardio this month, but I still did 23 days, so I guess that's not too terrible. A lot of those days weren't in the gym, but as long as I did something, I'm not too picky on the details.
--Do yoga every day except Mondays. However, if I don't do yoga on a day I go to the gym, I'll be okay with that.
---I only missed four days in October, which is an improvement. Now, they were more than four days where I didn't do yoga, but the rest of those were days where I did cardio instead, so it's okay.
--Make a weekly post on Thursdays and make the Comfort Corner posts on the first third and fifth Sundays of the month.
---I missed one Thursday post and was late one day, which isn't too bad. Both Sunday posts were on time.
--Cook once a week. I may need to try making things to freeze, so that I can have more variety in my meals and can stick to this goal better.
---I cooked every week except for the week of thanksgiving, since we had so many leftovers.
--Do the dishes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays as well as after any cooking or baking I do.
---Four missed days of dishes, which is not terrible, although I would like to improve this in November.
--Water daily and weed weekly during the growing season (May to September probably).
---I got a little bit of weeding done this month, though not as much as I wanted to. I did rake a lot of weeds and do some trimming of the dead plants, so I'm happy with that.
--$X/week in savings.
---Success for October!
--Donate to charity once a month. Create the list by January 15. (List created Jan 2)
---Done for October.
--Read one book a month. Make a list by January 15. (List created Jan 2)
---I read four books in October! I enjoyed them all a lot, even though they were all pretty different from each other.
--Play flute once a month.
---I squeaked this one in last minute, but I did play some songs from my Shrek book this month.
--Participate in at least one bingo fest. Tentatively, the Valentine's fest looks most promising, though a few others look intriguing as well.
---I made a fall fest bingo card, but I did not make any fills on it. I'm interested in the November fest, so we'll see how that goes.
--Work on old bingo cards.
---October was taken up by other pursuits, so I did not work on any of my old bingo cards.
--Finish socks. (Done in May)
---I finished my socks! They look really good and they fit and I'm so happy I finally finished them! :D
--Do one knit or crochet project. I have several ideas for this, so hopefully I can achieve this early. (Done in March)
---I have one out of ten dishcloths started, and I need to put the trim on my hexagon blanket. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how many projects I've done so far this year.
--Get one colour of fabric cut for my quilt.
---I have not yet found time for this.
--Join one crafting class. A local art store offers options, so hopefully I will find something that catches my eye. (Done in September)
---I have not looked for any other classes yet, but the Sip and Swirl from last month was a lot of fun.
--Complete one puzzle. (Done in August)
---I started a new puzzle with my sister, but we haven't made much progress yet.
--Take one "me" day a month. Hopefully I can plan these better this year and actually get more benefit out of them.
---I sort of got a me day this month, since I took Tuesday off. I was able to relax and get a few things done, so it ended up being a decent amd much needed day off.
--Go rock climbing or do a ropes course. This might be one I can do with my sister, which will make it extra fun. (Done in July)
---Nothing extra in October for this.
--Do one outside activity a month.
---I went for many walks this month and to a fall festival, so I definitely did outside activities in October. :)
--Answer DW comments as I get them. Answer 5 per weekend to clear any backlog that may accumulate.
---I have been lacking here lately. I must try to fix this in November.
--Fill in wall calendar with all recurring goals by January 15. (Done Jan 2)
--Improve inter-personal and intra-personal skills. I don't have a plan for this yet, but this feels like a weak area to me and I'd like to shore it up.
---I have not done anything with this goal yet.
--Determine whether finding a new therapist or other mental health professional would be beneficial. Make a plan with concrete steps to improve at least one slice of the Circle of Life.
---I have also not done anything here.
--Mark daily tasks as they are completed. Write a monthly goal review at the end of each month.
---I did fairly well at marking tasks as I did them, although there were still some small delays. This month's review is on time; yay!
--Do one seasonal activity each season.
---September was the fall activity, though I did go for a few walks to look at fall leaves this month. Next up is skating in December. :)
--**--Random fun activity for October: Lots of fun things happened in October. I had a small get together for my birthday, Thanksgiving was fun family time, I went to a nearby National Park, I went to a fall festival, and my sister had a costume party for Halloween.
Overall, October was a very fun but busy month, and I still managed to keep up decently with my gials. For November, I'm hoping to continue this progress, with an emphasis on crochet projects.
