Comfort Corner

The carpet is thick, soft and cream coloured, while the walls are a yellow bronze colour. In the corner along one wall there is a large sofa, able to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably. Along the other corner wall there is a smaller sofa for 2 or 3 people. In the middle of the furniture, there is a low, round coffee table, perfect for colouring at or for other craft activities.

There is a scratching post and a cat tree for climbing, which are both along the wall opposite the couch. A few fluffy beds have also been put out, in varying sizes, in case any one prefers the floor. There is also a large sturdy perch and a marked off area that says "Landing Pad" in case any winged friends want to visit.

There is now a blue chaise chair in the nook as well, which has been placed near the couch and is good for both sitting and spreading out lengthwise.

There are two baskets off to the side. One contains fuzzy blankets, a variety of fuzzy and textured pillows, and a collection of stuffed animals while the other contains a variety of art supplies, ranging from colouring pages and blank paper to crayons and coloured pencils, and more besides.

Ohhh fuzzy blankets🥰 I’ve just woke up from a snuggle in them and my pup was being all snuggly (though she’s now wandered off)

Oh, snuggles with fuzzy blankets and puppies are the best. I have no puppies, but I do have lots of fuzzy things.

I don't, mostly because I'm still a newish home owner and I live alone. Some days it's hard enough to take care of all the people stuff; I'm not sure I could be good enough for an animal right now. I do like visiting people with pets though. And yes, stuffed animals and fuzzy blankets can be very nice.

Ahh that’s a good point. Doing people stuff is really hard sometimes. I’ve got some big cuddly toys upstairs that I snuggle some nights

Not too sweet, and I prefer "spices" (chai tea, black tea, whatever the flavour typically is in those), as opposed to fruit or sugary things. The purple tea seems like it would be worth a try :)

Ya. I mean, I could probably manage a pet (especially since I tend towards cats rather than dogs) but it would also be a LOT of work, and I would hate to neglect it. I figure I'll give myself a couple years and see how I feel then. Oh! Big cuddly toys are the best.

Aww I have two cats and they’re mostly low maintenance so one would be a good choice I think whenever you’re ready.

Yes, a cat does seem most likely if/when I'm ready.

Nice! I don't have any giant animals, but I do have to large floor cushions I made for myself, one knit, one crochet.

I made this post based on ysabetwordsmith's idea of a Cuddle Party (link included so you can read her description of it, if you want.)

Essentially, this is a virtual space where people can gather and hang out, instead of (or in addition to) hanging out in person. It can be really useful if you are lacking company in real life, or if most of your DW friends are long distance. The description of the space is a little bit based on the upstairs of my house, but it is largely a fictional space.

As for the comments, well... It's kind of whatever you prefer. Most times, I will offer hugs or snuggles to people, and generally be close, because I like it and I don't get much IRL right now. Anything I share without quotation marks or asterisks is generally true, such as my discussion about not having pets above.

All people, pets and beings are welcome (I believe some people's cats have made an appearance before), and it can be as true or as fictional as you like (such as if you wanted practise exploring a characters personality for instance.)

My grandma showed me how, and it gives me something to do. I've made multiple scarves for people, and I made myself a fuzzy blanket as well. (I believe I have pictures of the blanket and both pillows on here, if you know how to find pictures on DW.)
