I got all the skills in the French tree to level 1! I now have the Golden Owl trophy on Duolingo! For French anyway; now I need to set about acquiring the others.
This is pretty much the highlight of my week. It hasn't been a bad one, just uneventful, and I'm really happy I leveled up all the skills!
Goals for next week: Work on my basket, do some edits, weed the garden. Maybe do a bit more house cleaning, and make a few crochet ruffle balls. (The one I made to test proof of concept turned out great! Thank you
ysabetwordsmith for writing the poem where Shiv explains how to crochet the Christmas ornament!)
How are all of you this week? I hope you've been staying well. If you want to share good news, or vent about a crappy week, I'm here. *hugs for all*

Date: 2020-07-31 01:22 am (UTC)French is taught in grades 4 through 8 (though I was in the last class that got taught all the way from grade 1), and required in grade 9. Beyond that, it's optional. Now, I did take French all the way to the end of high school, but our school system kind of sucks at teaching second languages, and I probably couldn't have used it for much, even right when I graduated. I always wanted to be able to use it though, so I'm working on improving it.
