Comfort Corner: Activity Day

It's the first fifth Sunday in a month, so here is my first bonus Comfort Corner post. The corner is still available for quiet cuddles and such things, but I thought I'd make a post more dedicated to playing games, making things, and having fun.
The carpet is thick, soft and cream coloured, while the walls are a yellow bronze colour. In the corner along one wall there is a large sofa, able to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably. Along the other corner wall there is a smaller sofa for 2 or 3 people. In the middle of the furniture, there is a low, round coffee table, perfect for colouring at or for other craft activities.
There is a scratching post and a cat tree for climbing, which are both along the wall opposite the couch. A few fluffy beds have also been put out, in varying sizes, in case any one prefers the floor. There is also a large sturdy perch and a marked off area that says "Landing Pad" in case any winged friends want to visit.
There is now a blue chaise chair in the nook as well, which has been placed near the couch and is good for both sitting and spreading out lengthwise.
There are two baskets off to the side. One contains fuzzy blankets, a variety of fuzzy and textured pillows, and a collection of stuffed animals while the other contains a variety of art supplies, ranging from colouring pages and blank paper to crayons and coloured pencils, and more besides.
In addition to the normal craft supplies, there are water colour paints, acrylic paints, finger paints, a multitude of brushes, appropriate painting paper, dishes for water, and smovks and drop clothes for keeping things clean. On another table is a basket with all kinds of craft goodies, including pom poms, tissie paper, sequins, glitter glue, regular glitter, stickers, pipe cleaners, assorted beads, wire and string, white glue, glue sticks, plain and fancy scissors, regular and funny shaped hole punches, tape and old magazines to use for pictures or other purposes.
If anyone wants to try fiber crafts, there is a giant basket with all kinds of yarn; varying types, sizes and colours, so there should be some for everyone and every project. There is a supply of various knitting needles and crochet hooks, yarn needles, and regular sewininneedles. A button box is available both for projects and just to sort for fun if anyone is so inclined. Beside the button box is an assortment of threads in as many colours as I could find. There are some scrap fabrics around, and some craft stuffing, but my fabric supplies aren't very robust so options may be limited.
In another corner of the room is the game set up. There is checkers, chess, chinese checkers, mancala, multiple card decks, puzzles of various sizes and themes, Dungeon Academy, Q-bitz, Mystery at Hogwarts (a Harry Potter Clue-type game), The Great Dragon Race, Hues and Cues, a few cribbage boards, marbles, and assorted puzzle books.
Come on in and have some fun! If you want something you don't see, feel free to bring your own, or ask me and I'll see if I can scare it up. Todays refreshments include croissants, egg salad, bacon, waffles, pancakes, hash browns, tea and cocoa.
