On Saturday, I went up to McGregor Point with my sister, to walk the trails and use their skate trail. It was a reallygood trip. :) Long car drive there and back, but had good conversation with my sister, so that was nice. The roads and driving conditions were good in both directions, and even the park roads were well maintained, even if they were snow-covered. The paths were really pretty, though walking in the snow is slower and more work than anticipated, so we didn't go on all the trails. The skate trail was unique and interesting though; about 400m of ice in roughly an oval outside through the trees. We also had a tiny bird, round and with a purple head, come down into our view while we were walking. It hopped branches a few times, and flew right over our heads. It even hovered briefly right in front of our eyeballs and brought two friends. :D :D All in all, definitely worth it, and I'm glad we went. Maybe I'll see if my sister wants to go back in the summer, and we can actually walk the trail that goes to Lake Huron and maybe see some more wildlife.

I had a random thought last night while brushing my teeth and looking in the mirror. The general population seems to notice and remember eye colour a lot more than I do. Even now, I'm not sure I could tell you with 100% accuracy what colour eyes my immediate family has. I was always a bit baffled by this, but now I'm wondering if it's the fact that I don't often make eye contact. When talking with people, 90% of the time I'm looking somewhere other than at them/their face. So maybe I remember less and put less emphasis on it because I spend so little time actually looking at eyes? Anyone have any experience to either corroborate or contradict this theory? Or a theory of their own?

Yesterday we got hit with the same snow system that seems to be affecting much of the Eastern states and Canada right now. It started off very wet and heavy then changed to more light and fluffy. It's been snowing off and on today as well, though I believe it's supposed to stop by tonight. I did some shoveling yesterday, so my sidewalk is in pretty good condition, but I'm going to need to do more tonight when I get home, I think. Hopefully everyone is staying safe and warm if they've been hit with this weather front.

I made two bingo cards for the Valentine's Bingo fest, and I've managed 11 fills so far, though no bingo yet. I plan on posting everything I've written, so look for those in the coming days.

Goal-wise, February is off to a good start and I'm hoping to keep that momentum going. Unfortunately, I was conscripted into working this Saturday night, so my weekend will be shorter than ideal (especially cause I have a therapy appointment at 1:15pm) but I'm still hoping to get a bunch of things done and finally have a chance to sit down with my laptop and do some entries and editing.

I hope everyone is having a good week and that you are staying safe and healthy, and have adequate resources and support if not. Much love to everyone :)
