Monthly Goal Review
Mar. 1st, 2022 08:57 pmFebruary is over, so I am once again going to review my goal progress. There were some ups and downs this month, but I think more ups than downs, which is always good.
Goals finished this month:
--Take a class. I joined a fitness class at a local community center and while there are two more classes to go, I'm counting this one as completed.
--Get a bingo, bonus for a blackout. I accomplished both of these during the Valentine's fest in February, which I'm really happy about.
Goals in progress this month:
--30XP on Duolingo daily, plus one lesson each for the four different languages. I didn't miss any days this month, but I did delay long enough on one day that I missed the target and ended up with only 22XP or so that day. I have been switching between the languages as planned though, and it's working out well, so I'm happy there.
--Skipping. No days missed and only 2 that I was late on, which is better than January's 1 missed and 4 late.
--Yoga. No missed days but one that was late, which is the same as January. Here's hoping I can get all of them on time in March.
--Dishes twice a week. None missed but three late days, which may or may not be better than January's two missed and one late. Dishes are always an ongoing battle for me, so this isn't too bad, although I will be trying harder next month.
--Cook on Mondays. 2 late days in February, which is 50% so not great, but I did at least manage to make food, so that's good I guess.
--Post on Thursdays and Sundays. No posted missed once again, which is great. :D
--Personal goals: No missed days and everything on time, which is better than January!
--Money in savings weekly and donate to charity. No misses here either, and my finances are in good shape.
--Reply to 5 DW comments on Saturdays and Sundays. I didn't miss any days here, although I was late with one. I'm not going to complain though, since I'm down to 0 unread comments in my inbox for the first time in who knows when.
--Read one book a month. I almost didn't make this one, but I'm going to count it. I read two very short French children's books, M. Tranquille and Dragon et le gros chat, but I didn't finish Of Blood and Bone by Nora Roberts until 12:30am on March 1st. Since the majority of the book was read before the deadline (only about 20 pages carried over), and I did read two other books, I'm counting this one as good.
--Finish upstairs puzzle by end of February. Well. This one is a fail, although I am going to try to finish it by the end of March. I just put it off too long and then ran out of time.
--Finish dad's mittens by end of February. Ditto with this one. I don't think I actually started working on the first mitten until February 25, and my whole last weekend was jam packed, so I had no time to make up my lack of progress. I have made a decent start now at least and am aiming for the end of March for this as well, sooner if possible.
--Play flute once a month. This goal is on track, and I revisited some of the basics this time around, so that was fun. :)
--I'm still seeing my therapist and brought up an issue with her that's been on my mind in the last session, so things are progressing now which is nice.
--Try to participate in 3 bingo fests. One down, one started, one to go. I'm happy with how this goal is working for me so far. :)
--Make a set of crochet Christmas ornaments. I have 5 red ones done out of a planned 9, and then I have 9 multi-coloured ones, and 9 green ones to do. More progress than I thought I'd have right now, so I'm happy with it. I'm trying to avoid cramming in December. XD
--Updates for Ysabetwordsmith. I actually made some really good progress this month. I managed to get the Arts and Crafts America series page set up, which was about 50 entries, and I did 20 or so for Polychrome Heroics, including editing and posting some of those to the appropriate pages. I'm hoping to keep this momentum going but I don't know how well that will work. Time will tell I guess.
