Delayed Weekly Update

fuzzyredThis should have been written yesterday, but I got sidetracked, so I'm making the post now. It's been an okay week, though I lost some of my motivation for skipping when I should. It seems like avoiding the lack of motivation at the start of my cycle has come back to bite me now and give me a case of the lazies.
Two exciting things did happen this week. First, Mother's day weekend was good all around. Plant shopping and cheese buying with my mom and sister on the Saturday; brunch with mom and sister Sunday, a trip to Fabricland, and dinner at grandma's made for a very good day. I've been toying with the idea of making a quilt for a while, and since I recently got bonus money from work, I decided to stop at Fabricland and see if anything caught my eye. I ended up finding some blue fabrics and some black fabrics that looked promising, and I was given swatches to take home so I could toy with patterns and get advice from my grandma. The two of us have a trip planned tomorrow to go out and actually buy the fabric, though I may need to switch out a few of the black fabrics for something better suited to the pattern I have in mind.
The other exciting thing happened yesterday and is a large part of the reason this post was delayed. My sister. one of her friends, and I went to an Avril Lavigne concert last night. :D It was a lot of fun. We all got dressed and did make up at my place, then went out for sushi for dinner before heading to the concert. She put on a great show and you could tell most of the audience had listened to her growing up, because I think almost the whole audience sang along with almost every song. The energy was great, the band was awesome, and Avril Lavigne sounds almost as good in person as she does on her CDs. I'm really glad I decided to go; definitely worth the ticket price and using one of my sick days to get out of work.
I've started working in my garden finally, though I'll have to do a lot more of that in the days to come; there are still far too many weeds I've gotta get rid of. I did get the plant sale buys planted though, so that is nice, and they seem to be surviving so far. I have a few seeds I need to plant, and maybe some more plants to buy, but we'll see how that goes.
