Yay for an update on Thursday this week! I haven't done as much as I wanted, but my dad did help me put up Christmas lights tonight, I made a bingo on my SENSE-ation card (YAYYYY!!!!!), I have a plan for getting updates done in the next three days, and I made myself food this week.

All in all it's been pretty good, though I've had a few periods of feeling overwhelmed, and I do still have a bunch of stuff I want to get done. I was thinking about new year's resolutions today, so sometime toward the end of December I will post a review of how I did with this year's goals. I'm mostly happy with my progress, although I could have done better.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you Americans, and I hope everyone is having a safe and good week. :) <3

I did another fill! This one is a string bracelet (image behind the cut) that is green, blue, and grey with a zig zag pattern. Now, the pattern itself isn't mine, so maybe there isn't as much creativity in it, but I find it very aesthetically pleasing, and the pattern hints at the possibility of so much more to me, like there are dozens of designs lying in wait, just waiting to be discovered.

The Sun's Journey

The time before the sun is dark,
slowly brightening, bit by bit,
shades of grey the easiest for the eye to see.

Peeking over the horizon
the sun brings light, and with it, colour;
its brightness lending hope to the day.

In the garden, the sun plays peekaboo with the plants,
shadows here, spotlights there,
the colourful blooms stretching for the light.

High in the sky, the sun beats down,
children searching for missing shadows
as adults slip on sunglasses to protect delicate eyes from the harsh light.

As the westward journey continues,
the flowers play peekaboo once again,
the afternoon light casting different patterns than the morning sun.

As the day grows longer, the sun gets lower and lower,
finally dipping below the horizon,
leaving brilliant reds and oranges in its wake.

Dusk echoes dawn,
light slowly disappearing, bit by bit,
colours fading softly back to grey.

As the night wears on grey darkens to black,
the absence of light making only the barest of sight possible,
dark shapes looming, waiting for dawn to be seen again.
