It's time for the July Goal Review! July went pretty well, although I did miss a few things. I'm also going to add a bit of June's progress in here, since I did not do last month's review. For a detailed look at how I'm doing, take a look beneath the cut.

--Meet Daily goal on Duolingo (30XP/day)
---No missed days in either month. :)

--On Duolingo, practise French and Polish twice a week, and Esperanto, Hawaiian, and German once a week.
---Still good here.

--I'd like to complete 5 Legendary units in both Esperanto and Hawaiian, 20 Regular units in French, 10 Regular units in Polish, and 2 Regular units in German.
---I am making progress on this one, though I may fall short on the Hawaiian and French goals. We shall see how the year progresses.

--Yoga every day except Monday. I'm also going to try to find "cardio" or "strength" yoga videos to help with getting in shape too. I'd like to try to do a "30 day yoga" challenge this year, and not miss any days, which is what happened last year.
---Roughly 4 missed days in June, 6 missed days in July. This is not great, but afternoons has a tendency to wreak havoc on this goal. I will try to keep this in mind for the rest of the year, so the trend does not continue.

--Weekly update posts on Thursdays, and Comfort Corner posts on the first, third, and fifth Sundays.
---No Sunday posts missed, but I missed two Thursday posts in June and then missed one in July and posted one a day late. Hopefully August is better.

--Try to answer DW comments within two days of receiving them. Answer five comments on the weekend to keep the backlog down.
---I was slacking a bit on this, but the last week or so I have gotten back on track with answering the backlog on the weekend, and trying to answer in a timely manner as I get comments.

--Cook on Mondays. This year, I'm going to try to find at least a dozen recipes or so by January 15 that I want to cook, to cut down on some of the decision making so that cooking will be easier.
---I didn't officially miss any days here, though some of the meals probably weren't as nutritious as they could have been.

--Don't let the dishes stack up in the sink, and don't leave the pots and pans to sit for days (or for someone else to do). I had to modify this one from last year, since the old goal won't work with two other people living in the house.
---I've been doing okay with the dishes in July, I think I was slacking a bit in June. I've been doing okay washing the dishes when I cook, but it still feels like I do less dishes than I should.

--$X into savings account weekly.
---Success still!

--Clear my half of the mortgage by the end of the year.
---Lump sum payments are done!!!! Now I just have to pay my half weekly until Christmas, and I'm good to go.

--Water garden daily from May through the first week of September.
---Between June and July, a few days probably got missed, but less than double digits for sure, so I'm happy here.

----Weed the garden once weekly (tentatively on Sundays) from May through the first week of September.
-----I've gotten better at doing the weeding in 15-30 minute stretches, instead of trying to do it all at once, so the gardens actually look decent right now. I still have more work to do, but I'm happy with my progress.

--Rollerblade or bike once a month from April to September.
---No rollerblading or biking in June or July. This goal is not doing so well.

--Donate to charity monthly; have the list of charities finalized by January 15th.
---Done for both June and July. I like this goal, although I may make some changes to it next year. List created before January 15th.

--Read one book a month.
---Finished "Prairie Heat" in June. I have not finished a book for July, unless I finish "Some Like it Hot" before midnight tonight.

--Play flute once a month.
---I'm pretty sure I missed June, but I did get July.

--Take one personal day a month to just chill and recharge my batteries.
---I honestly can't quite remember if I did this in either month. I have a feeling I was doing things every Saturday, including on the "Me" days, but I believe I recall only doing things I wanted to, and nothing that was unpleasant or that I was just pushing through. I'm hoping to be more mindful with the August one, and maybe write down a bit about it so I don't forget.

--One puzzle before July.
---No puzzles in June, and I totally spaced on the deadline coming up, so the puzzle still isn't finished.

--One puzzle after July.
---Doesn't apply yet.

--Participate in at least three bingo fests. Tentatively, the February, May, and October Bingo fests look the most interesting, with March and July being ones I'm curious about but I'm waiting to see cards for those ones. I will be hosting the June bingo fest, so I will try to write for that one as well, though I haven't had the best track record for actually writing in my own fests.
---I ran the June bingo fest, which went well. I made a card for myself but once again wrote nothing. The Winterfest in July prompts were surprisingly enticing this time around, so I grabbed a card, but also didn't manage any fills. Here's hoping my creative battery recharges soon.

--Get one bingo; bonus for a blackout.
---Finished in February.

--Finish the socks I started. If that goes quickly, I'm going to try to make a second pair, since I have a second ball of yarn specifically for socks.
---I may have knitted a row or two of the socks in all of June and July. I'm not doing so well on this goal either.

--Choose a knitting or crochet project to do to use up some of the yarn I have (I have waaaaayyyyy too much LOL).
---First project done. Progress made on the scarf: I am finished with the first bit of orange and have about 15 rows of red done. I have also crocheted a bucket hat and some dangly fruits for a coworker. Yay!

--Have the blocks for my quilt put together.
---Still nothing.

--Do something creative/artistic. I have no idea what, and I'm not sure if the vagueness will be a help or a hindrance, but this is all I've got so far.
---Not yet.

--Potentially take a class, either in person or online. I'm not sure about this one this time around, but I like the idea enough to not remove it completely. We'll see how the year goes, I guess.
---Nope.

--Keep seeing therapist to work on personal things. I'd also like to set a specific goal to work towards, though I don't actually have one in mind at the moment.
---Still seeing my therapist, no additional goals set yet. I did talk to her about some major changes in my perspective though, so a bit of progress has been made.

--Choose of slice of the "Wheel of Life" to work on. Have a rough plan by January 15. I have chosen Stress-Mastery and Play to work on (yes that is two slices), but I haven't come up with a plan yet.
---This is another goal I'm going to have to start making notes for. I know I did fun things in June and July, though I can't quite remember them, because they were every day type fun things, not something deliberately planned. I did just visit a provincial park with my sister, which was a great day, so I shall count that for July. The stress-mastery bit... not going so well. I seem to be having a hard time sticking to this one.

--Website updates for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith. I honestly don't know how to frame this goal to be successful at it. I've tried a lot of variations, and they all have their drawbacks and don't work long term. I'm going to keep trying but I'm directionless at the moment.
---*crickets chirping louder*

--Fill in desk calendar by January 15.
---Done! I also made bullet journal tracker pages, so that it is easier to count how many days I completed (or missed) as the year goes on.

--Post an end-of-month goal review on DW. I'm hoping this will help me track the progress of my on-going goals, but we'll see how that goes.
---Missed June entirely, but July should be right on time, if things play out right.

--Two personal "goals" that I'm not sure need to be on this list any more but are still on the calendar, so I shall track them anyway, just to see how I do with keeping them up.
---For the one goal, I missed no days; it's getting to be a decently ingrained habit now, yay! For the other, I was late 3 times in June, but no misses or lates in July, so that's not too bad.

All in all, June and July were decents months, even though some of my goals took a beating. I'm hoping to improve on a handful of things in August, so hopefully I can make that happen.
