Another on time post! Firstly, I'm running a pool this week for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics. If you'd like to join me, let me know. I'm planning on focusing on the Rutledge thread this time around, but any donors are welcome to name a different target if they'd like.

Secondly, this has been a pretty good week. I still haven't made it to the gym, but I have been better about yoga, and I feel like I'm starting to get things done again. I have made good progress on my book, I've been practicing Duolingo every day, I made roasted veggies and sausages for my lunch, I did the dishes on the designated days, and I bought yard waste bags so I can start weeding.

Coming up, I am taking the day off tomorrow so I can go to the year end curling banquet, and I'm hoping to be productive during the day leading up to it. I have plans to hang out and maybe go for a walk on Sunday with my boyfriend, then dinner with my grandma afterwards. I'd like to get some weeding done in the next few days, knit at least a couple rows on my socks, and read another chapter or two of my book.

April has gone fairly well so far and I'm looking forward to being able to enjoy the nicer weather. I hope you all are doing well, and I look forward to chatting with you again soon!

Getting fully back jnto a routine after you've slipped out of it can be a challenge. Sounds like you're making good progress - keep it up! =]

Thank you! I boosted the signal, so I hope folks get in on that.

Yay, progress!

Weeding trick: the very first round in spring, if you don't have perennials in a bed, you can fry most annual weed seedlings by applying fertilizer at stronger than recommended intensity. This includes natural ones like comfrey as well as chemical ones. Let it age for a few days, cover with compost or potting soil, and you can plant on top of that. By the time roots get down to the fertilizer it will have mellowed from watering. It's convenient if you have large areas to clear of tiny weedlings.

I'm toying with the idea of making comfrey tea this summer. Haven't bothered in the past, but if putting it on neat makes leaves die, I kinda want to experiment with it as weed killer.
