Weekly Update

This week has been pretty good. I missed a day or two of yoga, but overall, I did pretty well with meeting my goals. The weekend was a lot of fun. On Saturday, I went to a local cheese store and then a nearby park with my boyfriend; good food, good company, lovely weather, it was a very good day. Sunday was dinner at a fancy restaurant for boyfriend's mom's birthday. The food was fantastic, the conversation was good, and his family seemed to like me. All in all, a very pleasant weekend.
One exciting thing that happened this week was that I finished my socks! I think I started them in 2022 and it's taken me this long to get them done. Most of that was long stretches of no knitting, but I finally finished them! I used a fairly simple pattern (though I still made some mistakes) and self-patterning yarn in white, grey, beige, and copper. Despite some missteps, I'm very happy with how my first ever socks turned out. I shall include some pictures below.

This is what my socks like on my bed. The colour isn't quite right, but it's pretty close.

And this is what the socks look like on my feet. I think the colour is a little more accurate in this photo.
I'm so pleased with how they turned out, and even more pleased to finally be able to move on to another project!
Coming up, I'm doing lunch with my good friend on Friday, I have a birthday party for a coworker on Saturday, and I'm doing brunch with my mom and my sister on Sunday for Mother's Day. I really need to buy some plants for my garden and get that going for the season, and I'd like to start on a new yarn project; I have a few in mind already.
Hopefully you all have been having a good time of things, and that life is being kind to everyone. Here's hoping the weather starts turning nice and we can all get out and enjoy some nature. Take care everyone! :)
