June Monthly Goal Review
Jul. 12th, 2025 07:50 pmJune was a month filled with fun activities but I still think I did okay on my goals. For a detailed report, look behind the cut.
--Practice one language a month on Duolingo. French, German, Polish, Hawaiian, and Esperanto, then repeat.
---In June, I practiced French.
--Complete 14 units in French, complete 8 legendary units in Polish, complete 6 units in Hawaiian, complete 8 Legendary units in Esperanto, complete 15 units in German.
---I finished the French course in its entirety, finally!
--Do yoga every day except Mondays.
---I did yoga every day in June.
--Do at least one 30 days of yoga challenge.
---I did a 30 day challenge in June! I did every day and didn't miss any videos, so I'm very happy with this!
--Take one walk a week.
---I wasn't great at marking down my walks in June, so it appears I only had one week with two deliberate walks, but I did go to many different outdoor events and one museum, so there was a fair amount of walking happening.
--Make a weekly post on Thursdays and make the Comfort Corner posts on the first third and fifth Sundays of the month.
---I missed three of my Thursday posts and accidentally missed my fifth Sunday post. I must try harder with this in July.
--Cook once a week. I'd like to focus on healthier meals and ways to give myself more variety throughout the week.
---I cooked once a week in June.
--Do the dishes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays as well as after any cooking or baking I do.
---I missed five days of dishes in June, but that's not too terrible, so I'm not overly disappointed. I will try to do better in July though.
--Water daily and weed weekly during the growing season (May to September probably).
---I watered many days in June, but I did miss some. I think I only weeded once or twice in June, although I did get some very welcome help from my boyfriend. :) I need to remember to do a bit of weeding at a time, rather than try to do large chunks. Hopefully July will be better.
--$X/week in savings.
---Success for June!
--Donate to charity once a month. Create the list by January 15 (done January 10).
---Done in June.
--Read fifteen books. Make a list by January 15 (done Jan 1).
---I read "Ride Free" in June. I'm a bit behind on books for the year, but I have a lot of fanfic, so that probably explains why. I do need to try to catch up though.
--Play ten flute songs a month.
---I played 13 flute songs this month, my whole "Easy Rock" book.
--Work on old bingo cards.
---No progress here unfortunately.
--Finish the baby blanket I'm working on.
---I didn't get any more work done on the little deer for my baby blanket.
--Crochet a shawl by end of March.
---No progress yet.
--Get one colour of fabric cut for my quilt.
---I haven't yet made time for this one.
--Complete one puzzle. (Finished in April)
---I started an Easter egg puzzle, but so far I still only have the frame done. Hopefully I will have time in July to work on it.
--Take one "me" day a month. I'd like to plan these out this year so that I can make the most of them, rather than falling into them sideways.
---I took a Sunday to myself this month, doing some reading and then having some cuddles with my boyfriend.
--Go to an amusement park.
---I went to Canada's Wonderland over Canada Day weekend with my boyfriend. It was a great time! :D
--Do one outside activity a month.
---I went to an outdoor art festival this month. It's always a fun time, and I got a new dress as well as some new jewellery. :)
--Answer DW comments as I get them. Answer 5 per weekend to clear any backlog that may accumulate.
---I still have a small backlog to get through, but I have been trying to answer new comments as they come in.
--Fill in wall calendar with all recurring goals by January 15.
---Done January 13.
--Work on one slice of the Circle of Life. Have a plan by the end of January.
---No progress here yet, sadly.
--Mark daily tasks as they are completed. Write a monthly goal review at the end of each month.
---I've done okay marking daily tasks, although this month's goal review is very late.
--Do one seasonal activity each season.
---I haven't done my seasonal activity for summer yet, but I still have time to get it done. :)
--Have a maximum of four coffees a week. I'd like to keep an eye on my caffeine intake, so I figured this would be an easy way to start.
---I had success on three out of four weeks this month, which makes me happy. I still struggle with this goal sometimes, so any success is good. :)
--**--Random fun activity: The Carousel of Nations festival was this month and it was a lot of fun. I always enjoy trying foods from other cultures. I also went to a museum with my boyfriend at the end of the month that was a whole lot of fun.
All in all, June was a fun month and not too bad for goals. I'm hoping to make more progress in July, especially on some of the goals that have been languishing thus far.
