I have found a downside to yoga: expectations and vulernability. The first two times I went, there was "assisted relaxation", a gentle touch pulling my ankles further forward at the end of practise. I really liked this. I find that yoga puts me in a mind set where I want touch and I don't get enough of it on a regular basis. The downside is that now I want that, and it hasn't happened at the last two practises. The stretchiness and mindfulness of yoga are good, but they leave me more open to dissapointment and I'm not sure how to handle not getting what I was expecting. It feels a little but like in kink for me, if I'm looking for a particular release and I don't get it.
It's possibly worse today because I'm extra sensitive (emotionally) right now (PMS is a wonderful thing). Any ideas for finding healthy touch, during or outside of yoga? (With yoga appeals, because I'm in a more receptive state.)
