over on ng_moonmoth's journal, and since it sounded like fun I thought I'd do it too.

Ask me my top five anything.

I don't have a lot of boundaries, so I will probably answer almost any question, though there may be a few that get considered as too personal. I might also have hard time thinking of a top five for some, if it's a category with lots of options.

Hmmm.... I didn't think I'd made that many things, but their has been more than I realized 😆

Top 5...
A dog sweater I knit for my friends little dog.
A scarf I knit for my sister using autmun coloured wool and a pattern that ended up looking like leaves.
The pair of slippers I knit for my dad (first time doing that.)
The fuzzy blanket I knit for myself.
And.... A scarf I knit for my friend. It was just knit the whole way, but he had wanted one that went from foot to foot and around his neck twice (he is 6'2"ish), like he had had when he was young. It ended up even longer than that because I laid it flat to measure instead of hanging it 😆

Those all sound like fun. And many of them personal. I value the personal connection; it's one of the things that really drives the process for me. "I'm doing this for ...", whether the ... are "this person I value" or "myself", is inspirational.

Top that off with a healthy portion of "not sold in stores", and I'm good to go.

They were fun :) The driving process for me has been to make things for other people (asked for or as a surprise), but after a dozen or so projects for other people, I figured it was time to make something for myself. "Not sold in stores" (or too expensive) is the main reason I knit the giant floor pillow I just finished.
