There is a Half Price Sale in Polychrome Heroics this week. Boost the signal for the sale, and you can reveal a verse in one of the linkback poems.

I am willing to run a pool this time, if anyone is interested in joining me. I have about $80 this month, though I do have a little extra as back-up if it's needed. All of the poems are awesome, and I don't know where to start, so the target list this time is more of a wish list. If you are interested in contributing, simply let me know which poem you are interested in and I will direct money there. And as always, if you just want to join the pool for the quarter price discount, and you can pay for all or most of your poem, you are free to pick any poem you like.

I know this is giant list of poems, but I really am having a hard time deciding. And if you have your heart set on a poem I didn't list, just tell me; all the poems are great this time. I can get two or three poems on my own, depending on which ones I choose, so exact picks will be influenced a lot by other pool interest. Let's buy some poetry!

I'm primarily interested in the Shiv and Rutledge threads, but I was going to toss 40 or so at ysabet anyway. I'll happily toss that to you for the pool instead, since it will go farther that way.

Items three through seven are Shiv or Rutledge poems. Do you have a preference out of any of those? (The star beside "Selected as Staff" is because that is one I was planning to buy, even if no one else chipped in.)

"More Valuable Than Money" and "Who Chose the Darkness" are high on my list, as well as "Often the Beginning of Great Enterprises", but I can't afford more than 40, mayybe 45 at this point and "Often the Beginning of Great Enterprises" is above that so it's not in my price range.

$45 sounds good for me, and I'll shift my interest to include "Often the Beginning of Great Enterprises" instead of "Selected as Staff". We have at least one other interested party, so more may be able to be covered. Do you need my paypal info?

I'm interested in the Aquariana, Big One, and Dr. Infanta storylines. Let's start with where those intersect your interests -- I recall there being some. Then, I'll toss in some extra to get some other things there. Will forward a list later -- I have some other things that need to be dealt with sooner.

Sounds good to me. I do indeed have some of all of those listed, so we should be able to find common ground, though if you want one I didn't list, I'm willing to be accomodating if I can.

OK, the ones you starred above make $75. There's another $51.75 left in The Big One, and Dr. Infanta needs $79. All told, that would be $206.75. I can't really go all of that, but would probably be good for around half of it. That doesn't get the bigger Aquariana poem, but does sell out the other storylines I was interested in.

Tell you what: put me down for $75 now. As interest comes in on any of the starred ones, or Dr. Infanta (because she's on your list already), that will eventually free up money to get more Big One stories.

I'll check in occasionally to see how things are going.

$75 would get the first two starred poems, and leave me the room to either buy all the remaining Big One poems, or either of the Dr. Infanta poems (both are a little out of my reach because I fudge my math a little bit.) I'm content to wait until later in the sale to see if more interest comes along before committing to anything else. (See above comment to Ysabet for which poems I had her hold for us.)

janetmiles just bought "Inside of Him a Piece of Good News", so that can come off the list. Might make buying out Dr. Infanta possible.

Worth mentioning: I usually list threads for which there are 2+ poems, unless I have a lot of singles piling up. That promotes variety as different threads get featured over time. But it also means that single poems can drift in the background for a long time without getting featured.

Therefore, if you can buy out a thread's current poems, that avoids leaving one hidden for a while.

Interesting. Having as complete a story as possible at the moment is one of my big sponsorship drivers. (Increasing the number of poems that can be published is another, which is why I often target prerequisites.) This encourages me to keep tabs on what I'm buying to avoid orphaned poems.

Yeah, there's only one prequel-sequel pair at the moment, not like when there's a whole chain of things depending on each other.

Having batches of related poems published at the same time can make it easier for readers to follow a storyline, too.

I only have a handful of folks who tend to buy in big batches, but I figured this might help you make decisions.

I see someone else signed up, and apparently contributed. Don't know precisely where things are right now, but there's some more than my original contribution available if it would help get to a stretch goal. Up to $25 or so would be "of course"; more than that would be more likely for something I am also interested in.

I plan to settle accounts Saturday. Will go for the previous pledge absent any further guidance today.

It ended up being a $100 donation. The remaining Aquariana poem and the remaining Dr. Infanta poem add up to $114.25, so if you had $14.25 extra, that would let us clear all of the Aquariana, Big One and Dr. Infanta poems.

I'm also pretty interested in "Two Thirds Our Miseries" ($21 quarter price), and if you are willing to throw in in the full $25 extra (the above mentioned 14.25, and 10 bucks for this), I would chip in the remaing 10 or so dollars.

That sounds good to me, and I see two main options depending on how much you want to spend.

$61.25 would purchase "Selected as Staff" and "Play With a Sense of Destiny", which would get one of my favoured poems and finish the Dr. Infanta thread.

Or $78 would buy "How to Hold the Darkness" and enable us to finish the Aquariana thread.

If instead you have a fixed dollar amount in mind, just send that and then I will make choices based on that contribution.
