Pool time!

I have decided that I will run a pool for this week's Polychrome Heroics sale. I am still undecided on targets, so I'm sticking with my unusual target selection method.

Thos time, I will focus on whichever thread the first participant suggests, or any two poems from Shiv. Any extra interest can either go into one of the open epics (probably "Protect the Forests"), or another thread, depending on how much money comes in. Ideally I would split the money about half and half for the thread poems and the epics, with a larger focus on finishing off the thread. I'm leaning slightly towards the Strange Family thread, since it gives me the most leeway in the event of low interest, but I'm open to whatever you all are interested in.

The standard rule still applies; if you have enough to fund a poem but need the quarter price discount, you are more than welcome to join, even if your target isn't one the pool selected. If you have most of the funds but need a little extra, let me know what your target is, and we'll see if the funds are there or not.

Come on in and let's buy some poetry!

Thanks for volunteering

I had running something in mind, but was busy setting up for activities this week. Yesterday was our 20th anniversary, spouse's birthday is coming up, and there's a 24-hour event on Midsummer's Day we will be participating in.

Here's my target list:

from The Big One: "If Someone Else Thinks You Can Do the Job" ($21.25) and "Gone the Sun" ($82.75); total $104.
from Cuoio and Chiara: "Make a New Bucket" ($55.75) and "Perfetta Vita" ($78); total $133.75. This is a diptych.
from Shiv: "The Mixture of Spices, the Subtle Flavors" ($46.25); "Delicious Nemeses" ($44); total $90.25. This is also a diptych.

All this would add up to $328, which, I suspect, is a bit outside what we might spend together. Tell you what: If you're up to putting in the $90.25 for the Indian food diptych in Shiv, I'll put up the $104 for the two Big One poems. After that, if others chime in with enough sponsorship to get us close enough to the $133.75 for Cuoio and Chiara, I might be good for a little more. Sound good?

OK, then let's go with that. Don't think I'm ready for an extra $78.

Will send my share today.

Sorry about the delay in settling. The Midsummer's day thing got fairly seriously out of hand. It was supposed to end at 1700 UTC (1pm by you now, right?) and ran for five more hours -- a total of 29 hours, with no fewer than a dozen people from somewhere around the world in attendance at any particular moment.

Anyway, I just sent the money. You may not have access to it until Monday, but it is on the way. Thanks again for setting things up.
