It's Friday!

Well, I think I might stop saying what I want to accomplish in the week, because I just seem to be repeating myself without any progress. Instead, I will focus on the things I did get done this week, and mayyybe I will put one thing down for next week.
All told, it was a good week this week. Afternoons at work this week, and a smooth-running machine with computer access. Because of this, I managed to earn over 1,000XP on Duolingo, most of it in French. This is by far the most I've done since setting the goal of doing 2 lessons every Friday. I had lunch with a friend this week, and bought myself a Logic Puzzle work book, so I've had fun things to do. I also let the person I had a blind date with (and two subsequent dates) know that I wasn't interested in dating, though he was a nice guy. I didn't manage to do it in person, but doing it at all is still a big enough deal to me to count as a win.
Today, I went for a walk to the bank and the specialty bakery for an ice cream sandwich. The ice cream was delicious, the walk was hot but not sweltering, annnd it ended up longer than I intended because my spatial awareness sucks and not all the streets go through. I was a touch concerned about getting home in time to drive to work, but everything worked out just fine.
Other happy news, my Scentsy order came in! I have pretty smelling things now, and just need to remember to put them where I want them.
Things not done this week: weeding, editing, crocheting and home cooking.
Plans for this weekend/next week: getting the weeding done (the garden really needs it), finishing #1 on my Duolingo leaderboard (I really want to do this, it is actually in reach this week), and maybe, hopefully, making progress on my crochet basket (even a few lines will be good.)
How has your week been? How is your next week looking? Anything you want to share, or want encouragement on/support for?

Date: 2020-07-18 05:09 am (UTC)AC is indeed a good thing before the sweltering weather kicks in. We actually got a break in heat this week; the past two were well in the 90s.
Me too! And I'm glad things seem to be going decently on your end as well :D *hug*

Date: 2020-07-18 07:29 pm (UTC)This year was even weirder, because we got freaking snow in early May, then about 2 weeks later it was high 80s. Slightly concerning really. *hopes Mother Nature is ok*
