I got all the skills in the French tree to level 1! I now have the Golden Owl trophy on Duolingo! For French anyway; now I need to set about acquiring the others.


This is pretty much the highlight of my week. It hasn't been a bad one, just uneventful, and I'm really happy I leveled up all the skills!

Goals for next week: Work on my basket, do some edits, weed the garden. Maybe do a bit more house cleaning, and make a few crochet ruffle balls. (The one I made to test proof of concept turned out great! Thank you ysabetwordsmith for writing the poem where Shiv explains how to crochet the Christmas ornament!)

HAWAIIAN!? COOOOOOL! (Note: Only the nominative, Hawai`i, has the `okina.) I'm nowhere near fluent but I studied it off and on for a couple years about fifteen years ago. Long story.

Polish... is done in a Latin alphabet? Or is it in Cyrillic too?

Thanks for the note, I did not know that. I've only just started, and I'm not sure how good or thorough the Duolingo course will be. I thought it would be cool. :D It is definitely cool that you know some of it. :D

Polish is done with the Latin alphabet, with some accents and the "ł" (I don't know it's name, but it sounds like a "w"). It has far too many w's and z's for the comfort of an English speaker though. XD And some veryyyyyy detailed grammar.
