Weekly Update

So, I missed last week, and technically I'm a day late, but hey, here's an update! This week has been pretty decent. Work has been average, and other than a rather unfortunate ice pick headache yesterday, life has been hovering between ok and good this week.
I crocheted more of my Christmas ornaments, and I think I'm at the halfway point of being done making enough of them. Last Friday, I took a mental health day from work, and spent the day making cookie dough and chilling with my sister, which was a nice way to spend the day. We have plans to make more this weekend as well. And on the topic of cookies, thanks to the list of 50 assorted winter cookies from
ysabetwordsmith's Cuddle Party post, I have four types of cookies I'm going to make for work. Whether I put out plates or make individuals bags is yet to be seen, but there will be cookies!
Housework, unfortunately, is kicking my butt, particularly the dishes. I don't know what it is about them, I just hate doing them, so I keep putting it off... and off and off and off. I did do some the other day, but I still have at least a full sink to do, probably two. I'm going to make an honest effort to do them tonight, but I'm not particularly hopeful about the results. My inner "get the shit done" button has never functioned properly, and I have not been able to make it work in the last 11 years, though I have tried now and again. This is where an outside motivator would be helpful but alas, I am on my own so! Doing it myself it is. (I do have a trick or two that work sometimes, but a "character" in my head telling me to do the dishes is still less effective than a real person.)
Coming up, I'm hoping to find motivation to do... anything really, and with afternoons next week I'm hoping I will have time to actually get things done.
I hope y'all are having a good week, and that the holiday season is going well for everyone, whatever holidays you celebrate. :)

Date: 2020-12-12 01:19 am (UTC)I think dishes and planning/making dinner will be my downfall though. Can I outsource that?
