Hi everyone! This week has been pretty good. I haven't been great at getting to sleep on time, but most of the last minute holiday things are done. I am currently hosting a pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's Holiday sale, which will stay open until late tonight/early tomorrow morning. The original pool post is here and the detailed target list is here. There is still plenty of time to join in if you'd like! :)

This weekend, I saw Moana 2 in theaters with my boyfriend. I really enjoyed the movie and thought it was well done. :) I played board games with friends later that night, which was fun, even though we lost. Sunday I went skating and then to dinner and a holiday lights display with my boyfriend. I also managed to make one kind of cookie for our holiday package. At this point, I have now made all of the doughs necessary and make three out of the five kinds. I'll need to find some time soon to bake the last two doughs.

I haven't had much time for yoga and I have a few monthly goals that have been pushed aside as well, so I'm hoping to find some time to knock those out soon. I also still need to post my November review and clean the house in preparation for holiday gatherings.

Coming up, I have lunch with my good friend tomorrow, my work Christmas party Saturday, a holiday Cirque du Soleil performance with my mom and sister Sunday morning and Christmas dinner with my boyfriend's family in the evening. Then it's a whole slew of holiday things, so I'm hoping I can find a moment to breathe in there somewhere. XD I'm looking forward to everything, it'll just be a busy week.

I know this can be a hard time of year for people and the weather can be less than ideal as well, so I hope you are all doing well and taking care of yourselves. All the best wishes to you, stay safe, and have a wonderful week. <3 <3

Unfortunately, I've missed a few weekly updates lately. I kept meaning to make a post, but then other things got in the way. I'm probably going to miss a whole bunch of things, but I'll try to mention the big stuff. First, I have finally finished the dishcloths I was crocheting, including tucking in the ends! They are all ready for Christmas now and I'm glad to have finished them, I think they turned out really well.

A dishcloth I crocheted.
I made three of these for my grandma.

Four striped dishcloths I crocheted.
I made two of each of these. The red is for my grandma, the green is for my one cousin, the purple is for my mom, and the blue is for my other cousin.

Four striped dishcloths I crocheted.
These are the reverse of the above cloths and go to the same people.

On Sunday, we had my mom's family over for our Christmas get together. It was a good time and it was really nice seeing everyone again. A couple weekends ago was my Union Christmas party which was also really fun. Coming up, I will have a bunch of cookies to bake for Christmas eve, but just about all of my present shopping is done. I also have a few more Christmas parties and get togethers, so the coming weekends should be fun but also pretty busy.

I've been doing decently okay with my daily goals, although yoga has fallen off more than I'd like and I didn't manage to read a book in November. I'm not too concerned though, since I read a lot of books in October, I read a large amount of fanfic in November, and I was very focused on crochet in November as well. Hopefully I will have more time to focus on reading and yoga in the coming weeks.

Up next, I have lunch with my good friend tomorrow and plans to see Moana 2 and go skating on the weekend. If I can manage my time properly, I'm also hoping to bake some cookies and maybe practice my flute or take a walk outside.

Other than that, I'd like to get a head start on setting some goals for 2025 and I'd like to finish up Christmas preparations so the holiday goes smoothly and I have more time to relax.

I hope you all are doing well, take care of yourselves, and have a safe and happy holiday season. :) <3

First up, this week I'm running a pool for [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's half-price sale. There is still time to join in if you'd like and the details can be found here. Let's buy some poetry!

Overall, this week has been pretty good. I had a low-key weekend but it was very nice. I've also made a lot of progress on the dishcloths I'm crocheting for Christmas, which makes me really happy. I will try to post some pictures of those soon. I haven't been able to really do anything outside since it's been very wet, but hopefully I will have the chance soon. Otherwise, a lot of the yard stuff will need to wait until springtime.

Coming up, I'm having lunch with my good friend tomorrow, then my boyfriend and I are going to a Christmas party hosted by my union on Saturday. It's not a super fancy event but it should still be lots of fun and I suspect lunch tomorrow will be enjoyable as always.

I'm hoping to have time to start tucking in the ends on the dishcloths I made. I may see if a fringe edge will work, but I suspect I will end up tucking in the loose strings. I still have plenty of time before Christmas though, and only four more cloths to crochet, so I'm still making very good time.

I hope everyone is staying safe and you all have a good week coming up! See you again soon. :)

I missed last week, just because time and motivation got away from me. The last couple weeks have been pretty decent. Not a lot of big stuff going on, but there were still small things happening. I did have the opportunity to curl on Friday (though unfortunately it was because my good friend was unavailable) and the new space is rather decent.

For the most part, I've just been trying to keep up with chores and also fit in the things I want to do. I raked a whole bunch of leaves (with excellent help) that I successfully put out for collection day. I had a rough patch with yoga but seem to be back on target now. I have made excellent progress on my Christmas dishcloths! I now have five out of the ten made, although I will have a whole bunch of ends to sew in when I'm done. If I keep going like this, I can have them finished before December, which will be nice, since I tend to have a habit of procrastinating.

Coming up, there are some holiday parties starting soon, which I'm looking forward to. I'm also looking forward to the week I get off work and the chance to spend time with my family. Before that though, I need to make a push to finish cleaning up the yard, and I need to get moving on my November book.

Take care everyone, stay safe out there! <3

This week has been mostly good. I've done fun things and gotten chores done, but I've also felt really low on energy the last couple days, which is less than ideal.

On the chores/goals side, I raked the driveway again (with amazing help) and ended up with 18 yard waste bags of leaves. I managed to get a few rounds of dishes done, which is good because I've been neglecting them recently. I missed a few days of yoga and cardio has been rather iffy, but I am still trying to get both things done. I haven't done much crocheting but I have done a lot of reading so I'm happy with that trade off.

On the fun side, I went for a walk in the park on Saturday with my bf and we got to look at the pretty fall leaves. Sunday we went to a local fall fair that featured old-time harvest activities and a lot of horses. In the afternoon, my sister put on a Hallowe'en costume party with some games and lots of treats. Both activities were a lot of fun, evening though it ended up being a busy day. Tuesday I used my last wellness day to have a day off because I was feeling so blah. I wanted to do things but ended up mostly napping and reading. Ah well, it was nice not to go to work. Wednesday I carved a pumpkin with a minion design; I think it turned out rather well. :D

Coming up, I'm going to have lunch with my good friend. There is a poker night Saturday that I'm looking forward to and I'm hoping to be able to take it easy Sunday. In November I need to work on my dishcloths and maybe finish the trim on my blanket, since I've been dragging my feet on that.

Best wishes, good fortune, and smooth sailing to everyone. It seems like there are lots of hard times going on right now, so I hope you all have the support you need and that things get better soon. Take care <3 <3 :)

I missed last week, in part because I've been feeling drained and in part because a family issue cropped up. The past two weeks haven't been too bad, other than my dad falling and needing to go to the hospital. Thankfully, he is alright; the doctors say it's a fractured knee and they are going to see if it heals without needing surgery. In the meantime, he has now been discharged from the hospital and they set him up with outside help for things like groceries and meals, since he lives alone.

I did have a good couple weekends, with a trip to Point Pelee, a gathering with friends, and a wine tour with coworkers being among the highlights. It was a lot of good company and a lot of fun. I also got a few lunches with my good friend in there, which is always very nice. :)

I haven't done fantastically with cardio the last while, but I have been getting at least something done almost every day, even if it doesn't include going to the gym. I'm still working on tweaking my food and exercise habits to get the best results. While I would like to lose a bit of weight, mostly I'd like to be eating healthy and in good shape (i.e. decently strong and reasonable stamina for stairs and walking). I think what I'm going to try next involves short bits of cardio, more walks outside, and a bit of strength training. If I can make things more fun, I know I'll have an easier time sticking with it.

I managed to rake some leaves off the driveway the other day (with some help =)) but sadly it looks like an equivalent amount has fallen onto the driveway again already. Yay for fall XD >.< I'm not totally happy with where the yard work is at right now, but I'm working on finishing up all the essentials before winter sets in. I also need to work on my crochet projects, but I thankfully have a decent amount of time before the deadline for those, so I should be okay.

Coming up, I mainly want to work on maintaining the progress I've made in most areas, and shore up the ones that need it. I also have a few things planned this weekend with my boyfriend and my family, so it should be a good time. :)

I hope everyone is doing well, that life is going okay, and the weather is being terrible to anyone. Stay safe and happy everybody!

This has been a really good week. :D My birthday was Sunday and it was a great day. Friday was drinks with my coworkers which was very enjoyable. Saturday my boyfriend and I went apple picking at a local orchard, then spent the day together and saw my good friend in the evening. Sunday I had family over for my birthday and we had pizza for dinner and s'mores cake for dessert. :D I got lovely gifts from everyone and I had a wonderful weekend with everyone. :)

I took Monday and Tuesday off and I managed to get some relaxing in as well as getting things done. My blanket is now completely together, with the first round of trim around the edge. I also finished my first book of the month and have started on a second. I've managed to do cardio just about everyday, so I've had some built in reading time.

Coming up is Canadian thanksgiving, so there will be some family dinners and I want to make an apple pie. I'd also like to try to work on the blanket more and get some yard work done if I have the chance.

I hope you all are doing well, we'll catch up again soon!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
This week has been kind of mixed. My weekend away to visit friends was a whole lot of fun, and I had a little bit of time to relax on Sunday. I have successfully done cardio every day in October (all both of them), despite yesterday getting hijacked by my dad for a couple hours. I've been doing well with Duolingo and I made a lot of progress on assembling my blanket. I've also been able to read a lot of my book while doing cardio at the gym, so that is a nice bonus.

There's been a bit of family drama re-surfacing lately, which is draining both in terms of spoons and in terms of time. I have a feeling I'm going to have to be careful in October so I don't end up feeling overscheduled or burnt out. I did purposefully try to keep my schedule clear this month, so with a little luck, I should be alright. I also have Monday and Tuesday off work for my birthday, so that will help some too.

Coming up, I have plans to go to an apple orchard on Saturday, then on Sunday some family is coming over for dinner for my birthday, probably pizza. I'm going out with coworkers for drinks tomorrow after work, and I'm going to try to find time to see my good friend. I'm on day shift this week, so our regular lunch meeting wasn't able to happen.

I don't have any plans for Monday and Tuesday, so I will probably try to use them to just relax and have fun. The following weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, so I'll have another long weekend coming up, which is a nice bonus.

I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of the fall season and life is treating you well. Talk again soon!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
Hey, I'm on time! This week has been pretty good, even though I feel like I still haven't been motivated to do much. I haven't done any outside work, I slacked a bit on the dishes, and I missed a few days of yoga. On the plus side, I finished reading my book, I have all the rows pieced together for my blanket, and I practiced my flute using my book of Taylor Swift songs.

On Saturday, I went to Cedar Point with my friend, which was a lot of fun. We got to do all the rides we wanted to and it was very nice to spend the day with her. However, I don't recommend sitting in the front car of a roller coaster around dusk, especially when it is near the water; we got covered in bugs. It made for a good laugh though, despite the ickiness of it. Sunday was used as a recovery day, just chilling and spending some time with my boyfriend.

Because of the way schedules worked this week, I did lunch with my good friend on Tuesday, which was fun as always. Wednesday I used to get some things done, since I took the day off to do dinner and a paint night with my boyfriend. We ended up doing a fall painting with pumpkins and leaves in it. They didn't turn out fantastically, but it was a lot of fun and a very good evening. :)

Coming up, I'm going out of town this weekend to visit friends and I'm going to try to make more progress on my goals this week. I would really like to finish sewing my blanket together and I'd like to sketch out a bit of a meal plan so that choosing dinners becomes easier and less of a hassle.

I hope you all are doing well, happy fall, and talk to you again soon! <3

Well, I have managed to make a post this week, but it's going to be rather short. It hasn't been a great week so far. Work has been kind of irritating, I haven't been motivated to do much, and there has been family drama that I've gotten dragged into the middle of.

I did have a nice weekend. Saturday I did a 5k/onstacle course race with my boyfriend, a coworker, and her husband. It was a lot of fun, though it took longer than expected. Sunday I managed to get out to the conversation area to watch for hawks. I saw a bunch of swans, one giant dark grey bird I think was some kind of heron, and a few hawks. On the way home, I saw a bald eagle swoop down to pick up road kill of the road, which was super exciting.

Hopefully next week has less drama and more motivation and I'm able to get back to doing things again. I hope you all are doing well and you have good times ahead. :)

I am late again, but yesterday was a jam packed day, so I don't feel too bad about it. I worked during the day, then a co-worker had a few people over for drinks, and then I went to the last volleyball night of the season. The first three games we played we did decently, but we fell apart in the last game. Oh well, I had fun anyway. I also feel like I've improved a lot since the start of the season and I had more fun than I expected. I will definitely considering playing again next year if we put in a team again.

Last week was pretty low key. I managed to make some progress sewing my hexagons together and I read some of my book but I didn't do a lot other than that. I missed a few days of yoga, but I did get a day of cardio in, so I'm happy with that. Last weekend was mostly spent chilling with my boyfriend or relaxing by myself which was very nice. We did end up going to a local street fair which was a lot of fun while still being fairly low energy.

Coming up, I'm going to see my good friend tonight, then I'm going to do an adventure challenge 5k "race" tomorrow. Sunday should be fairly quiet, so I'm hoping to get some reading and crocheting in. It would also be nice to get some yardwork done this week, but we'll see how everything plays out.

I hope everyone is doing well and you have great times ahead!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
Well, I am late this week, after missing two weeks entirely. I'm not sure why it's so hard to make my weekly post, but I'm going to try to do better. The last three weeks have been really good, with a decent mix between getting things done and being able to relax and have fun.

The first fun thing I did was go camping at Sauble Falls with my sister, her husband, and a friend. The beach was very pretty and the falls were suoer nice, the wide shallow kind that you can walk through, though it was kind of rainy. We also ended up going up to The Grotto at Tobermory which is a beautiful trail. The grotto itself was wonderful, though we couldn't climb down this time as it was very windy and wavy. All in all, it was a very fun weekend get away even though the weather wasn't the best.

Last week was my summer shutdown at work, which was very nice. I managed to make it a good balance of fun, relaxing, and productive, which is usually hard to manage. I made a nice amount of progress on my crochet project, finished reading a book and visited my grandmother, something I have done as often lately as I should.

To start of my shutdown, my boyfriend went camping at a local "nature retreat" that has camping domes and tents you can stay in. The dome we stayed in was very nice, and the weather was perfect for taking advantage of the pool. It is also located very close to a lot of local wineries, so we did a bunch of tastings on the Sunday and ended up buying a few bottles of wine. We didn't end up making use of the kayaks or bikes available, but being able to have a campfire and some private time was well worth it. :)

Labor Day weekend was nostly uneventful, though I did go indoor bouldering and to a county fair on Saturday. Sunday was lowkey and relaxing, then I walked in the local parade with some of my corkers. That should have been the end of my vacation, but I also took the Tuesday off, because I didn't want to come into work for only one day.

I needed to take Wednesday off because I went to a Green Day concert with my friends. :D It was a really good show, although it was in a baseball stadium, so the sound quality wasn't the best. I had a really great time though and I'm glad I went.

Today I had lunch with my good friend which was lovely as always. This weekend is looking to be fairly quiet, so hopefully I can do some reading, crochet, and yardwork in the next few days.

I hope you all have been doing well and have a great weekend coming up! I'm going to do my best to get back to regular posting, though it has felt rather difficult lately for some reason. See ypu all soon!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
I missed last weeks post because I was late, and then decided I didn't have the energy to write up even a delayed one. The past two weeks have been pretty good, not too much going on, although I did get to see Kenny Chesney in concert which was super fun!

Daily goals have been alright, though dishes, watering, and weeding seem to be the hardest ones. Yoga isn't far behind, which is less than ideal, but I'm still trying to stick with a daily practice. Language practice is going very well, and cooking seems to be improving.

I've managed to do a lot of reading lately, which is really nice. I've also finished both the ravenclaw baby blanket and my basket, so I've started a new knitting project. :D I've got a ball of yarn that is supposed to mimc the fair isle sweater patterned, so I'm going to see if that translates to a scarf.

Coming up, I'm going to visit with my good friend, then I have a couple camping trips planned and my summer shutdown at work, so I'm hoping for some good weather and some good chances to relax.

I hope you all are doing well, talk to you again soon!

(I feel like I've forgotten something, but I can't figure out what.)
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
This week has been pretty good, though it's been very warm. The weekend went well, although the rodeo was in direct sun with no shade, so I was pretty wilted by the end. It was a fun time and a good show, but shade definitely would have improved things. Daily tasks have also been going well, although outside tasks have been put off a little bit because of the heat.

I have made it to the gym twice for cardio! It has been for long, but I finally made it back and I have plans to go later today, so I'm happy. Another thing I'm happy about it making multiple bingos on this month's card. I finally wrote some things! I need to post them still, but I'm fairly happy with what I managed to get written, and very happy that I actually wrote *something*.

Coming up, I need to write the review for July, weed the garden, keep going to the gym, and put the final touches on one of my blankets. I'm pretty close to being done, so I'm hoping to finish it up in the next couple days. I also have lunch with my good friend to look forward to, so that's always nice. :)

I hope you all are staying cool and doing well. See you next week!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
This past week has been pretty good. I seem to have mostly found my groove with yoga again, and all my other continuous goals are going at least passably well, though I still haven't made it back to the gym. My biggest struggle seems to be balance and time management, though I'm not really sure how to fix that. I did manage to write some poems for this month's bingo fest, which I'm pleased with. I'll try to post them either later today or tomorrow if I can.

The weekend was really great. On Saturday, my boyfriend and I went to his older brother's wedding. It was small but very nice and I had a wonderful time. On Sunday, we went to my Union picnic at a local park which was a lot of fun, then we just hung out for a while. I felt very tired Monday, probably because of all the people on the weekend and being outdoors for a bit. It was a great weekend though and I enjoyed myself a lot.

Coming up, I want to get some weeding done and I'd like to make more progress on my crochet projects. Tomorrow I'm having lunch with my good friend, which is always nice, then on Sunday I'm going to go watch a local rodeo.

I hope you all are doing well, take care!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
I'm a day late, but at least I'm posting. The past week has been mostly standard, with more things done than not. The weekend turned out really well, with a fun poker day and a wonderful day at the beach. It wasn't killer hot but it was still warm enough to go in the water and even though I got too much sun, I didn't end up overly burnt.

I was on days this week, so I played volleyball yesterday with my work team, which ate badically all my free time. I also didn't get to have lunch with my friend, but we have other plans so that is nice. :)

Coming up, I've got a fairly busy weekend but it should be a fun one. I've also done decently well at getting the mundane things done today, so hopefully that leads to less stress on the weekend. I do have to remember to shop [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's half-price sale, either today or tomorrow before I get too busy.

I hope you all are doing well and have good times ahead!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
This week has been pretty good. I feel like I've been doing better with my daily goals this past week, and I made time to weed the garden and dead head most of the flowers. The yard is looking rather nice, so I'm pleased with that. I need to keep up with it, but I have good feelings about the garden. I need to keep an eye on the vegetables too, but nothing seems ready to pick yet.

I had a good three day weekend, starting with an absolutely lovely birthday dinner with my grandma. My sister and I and our SOs took my grandma out for an early birthday dinner, to the restaurant where my sister cooks. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the company was wonderful. It was on the pricey side, but we got free birthday desserts out of it and it was very nice as a treat. On Saturday, my bf and I went up to a nearby Treetop ropes course. It was a whole lot of fun, although the arms and shoulders did get quite a work out. This was mostly from having a death grip on the safety lines, not necessarily because of the obstacles themselves. *laugh* It made for a wonderful active date idea, then we stopped at Dairy Queen for some burgers and ice cream on the way home. Sunday was mostly a stay at home and relax day which was much needed and appreciated.

This week I made a whipped coffee and cream dessert; instant coffee, sugar, and cold water whipped up, then folded together with cream and condensed milk that has also been whipped. It was light and fluffy, not too sugary, with a distinct but not overpowering coffee flavour. I layered some of it in little dessert cups, with pieces of chocolate cookies in between. I brought it to work to share and everyone seemed to like it. On a side note, a coworker made me an espresso today which was much tastier than I expected. I assumed the strength would have made it more bitter, but this one wasn't. Although that may have been the sugar packet that I dumped in there...

Coming up, there is a poker night on Saturday, then the bf and I are going up to a Provincial Park on Sunday. I would like to make some progress on my crochet projects, read more of my book, maybe get out for a couple walks, and try to get back into going to the gym. That last one is going to be tough, but I'd like to see if I can get a routine going again. I also need to put together some kind of meal plan, but that's going to be tough too.

All in all, things are going well and things thankfully haven't been too stressful lately. I hope you all are doing well, talk to you again next week!
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
This post is probably going to be on the shorter side. I want to post, but don't feel very talkative for some reason.

I had a good three day weekend. I saw some from Saturday night and we continued our game of Pandemic: Legacy. Sunday my sister held an ice cream social for family, so that was a lot of fun but also a lot of people. Monday (Canada Day), my boyfriend and I went some Canada Day festivities, then saw fireworks in the evening. The fireworks were enjoyable, though a little less spectacular and polished than some of the shows I've seen. All in all it was a good weekend. :)

Coming up, I have tomorrow off of work to have dinner with my grandma for her birthday, and I'm going to see my good friend for lunch as well. Saturday I think I'm going to go up to London for the treetop ropes course they have, then I'll probably just try to relax Sunday.

Overall, the past week has been pretty good, though I have been struggling with making time for yoga, and for the "necessary" things in general. Leisure is so much more fun, but stuff still has to get done, so I need to work out how to find a balance somehow.

On a random side note, even though I'm already learning five languages, I kind of want to look into ASL again. I find it fascinating and I think it might be helpful to know a few basic signs (especially ones about feelings) for when I'm not feeling talkative or when I'm overwhelmed. I don't know if it would work, but the idea is intriguing.

I hope you all are doing well and you are staying safe and healthy in this weather. :) <3

So, I missed last week again, even though I should have had time. It's been a good couple weeks, with a lot of stuff going on. My daily tasks are going well for the most part, though I've had some misses. Gardening and going to the gym are the main trouble spots, while reading and crocheting seem to be doing very well. Everything else is kind of in the middle but hopefully I can make improvements in the coming weeks.

I'm not going to try to keep a time line, but I am going to try to talk about some of the fun things that happened in the last two weeks.

I went rock climbing again at a local gym, which is always fun. Later that day I went to some of the carrousel villages with my friends and boyfriend; we hit three different places and got a lot of good food. We got meat pies and shredded chicken at the Ghana place; Goulash, elephant ears, and chimney cakes at the Jungarian one; and I believe people got fish and chips at the Scottish one. I didn't grab any food myself, though I did join in on the dancing when they opened it up for audience participation. Lots of fun all around. :)

My sister and I took my dad out to lunch for Father's day, which was nice. My dad and I had burgers and a side salad while my sister got some kind of salad bowl thing, all of which was yummy, plus we got some deep fried pickles to share. I haven't seen my dad as much as I should lately, so it was really nice to spend some time with him.

Last Thursday was Responsib'all Day at work, for giving back to the community. Instead of working, we all got a site tour (we have a lot of newer employees who haven't seen all the areas), then we had lunch before working on projects for the community. One involved decorsting rain barrels for the community garden, one was assembling birdhouses, one centered around plarn and sleeping mats for the homeless, and I think there was something about seeds and hydroponic cards. It was a good day, even though it was super hot, and it's always jice to be able to give back to the community. I also played volleyball on Thursday, since the union put in two teams in a local league. Also a lot of fun although we didn't play very well. Mostly, I'm just grateful it had cooled down some by the time we played. I'm looking forward to the next chance I get to go out. I'm enjoying myself more than I thought I would, since sports aren't really my thing. It's just a fun league though, so there's no pressure, which is nice.

Saturday I went to more carrousels, Greek and Serbian this time. The Serbian one had cevap, which are delicious little sausages that I love, and I got honey balls at the Greek one, which are also delicious and wonderful.

Sunday, my sister hosted another Amazing Race challenge which was a lot of fun. We went out in the city to accomplish different tasks, then went to my grandma's after we finished for pizza and swimming.

Monday I had the day off, which felt much needed after all the business of everything. I didn't do much of anything, which was rather nice. I had a chance to read and crochet, and I managed to catch the last game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, though sadly the Oilers didn't win.

My work week so far has been okay, and I have both Monday and Friday off next week, so I'm really looking forward to that. I hope you all have been doing well and staying cool, and I'll see you again soon. :)
fuzzyred: Me wearing my fuzzy red bathrobe. (Default)
I know, I missed last week again, but I am still trying to post weekly when I can. As far as I can remember, both weeks have been fairly uneventful, excepting the weekends. I've been doing alright on the daily goals; just about all of them seem to be doing better this month. In particular, I finally bought and planted vegetables, I've been doing better with watering, I've made some nice progress on my crochet projects, and I've put a bit more effort into doing the dishes. I've also been able to have lunch with my good friend, which is always nice.

On the first weekend in June, I went to Art in the Park with my boyfriend, a local fair that showcases a variety of artists and crafters. It was nice weather and a nice day to be out, I also found some cute earrings and necklaces to go with some of the new summer clothes I bought the day before.

On the second weekend in June, I went to a BBQ at a friend's house which was a lot of fun. I haven't seen them for a while, so catching up was nice, and they had a pool to go swimming in as well. :) On Sunday, I went to the strawberry fest with D (the boyfriend) where we went on some carnival rides, played a few games and had some food. All in all it was a great day and a great two weekends to start off the month.

Coming up, I have plans this weekend to go to the Carrousel of Nations with friends and try all kinds of different food, and maybe see some entertainment if the timing lines up. I also want to make more time for interacting with my friends in general, as I feel like I don't do a great job keeping in touch. I'd like to continue making progress on my crochet projects and working on the yard, I'd like to read more of my book, and I'd like to get outside more and be more active.

All in all, things are going well, there are just a few things I'd like to tweak to make it even better. I hope the weather and life is being kind to everyone, and that you are all doing well. Hugs and best wishes to all. :)
