Weekly Update (with dishcloth pictures!)
Dec. 12th, 2024 03:24 pmUnfortunately, I've missed a few weekly updates lately. I kept meaning to make a post, but then other things got in the way. I'm probably going to miss a whole bunch of things, but I'll try to mention the big stuff. First, I have finally finished the dishcloths I was crocheting, including tucking in the ends! They are all ready for Christmas now and I'm glad to have finished them, I think they turned out really well.

I made three of these for my grandma.

I made two of each of these. The red is for my grandma, the green is for my one cousin, the purple is for my mom, and the blue is for my other cousin.

These are the reverse of the above cloths and go to the same people.
On Sunday, we had my mom's family over for our Christmas get together. It was a good time and it was really nice seeing everyone again. A couple weekends ago was my Union Christmas party which was also really fun. Coming up, I will have a bunch of cookies to bake for Christmas eve, but just about all of my present shopping is done. I also have a few more Christmas parties and get togethers, so the coming weekends should be fun but also pretty busy.
I've been doing decently okay with my daily goals, although yoga has fallen off more than I'd like and I didn't manage to read a book in November. I'm not too concerned though, since I read a lot of books in October, I read a large amount of fanfic in November, and I was very focused on crochet in November as well. Hopefully I will have more time to focus on reading and yoga in the coming weeks.
Up next, I have lunch with my good friend tomorrow and plans to see Moana 2 and go skating on the weekend. If I can manage my time properly, I'm also hoping to bake some cookies and maybe practice my flute or take a walk outside.
Other than that, I'd like to get a head start on setting some goals for 2025 and I'd like to finish up Christmas preparations so the holiday goes smoothly and I have more time to relax.
I hope you all are doing well, take care of yourselves, and have a safe and happy holiday season. :) <3

I love holiday cookies. We got some candy canes so I'll be able to make a batch with those.

Holiday cookies are delicious. One kind we are making has a peppermint icing on top. :) I also made a candy chocolate swirl bark over the weekend. :D

Ooo, I'll have to check that out.

Date: 2024-12-19 07:02 am (UTC)It's a fun quirk of fibercrafting, where even if you knit or crochet straight, changing colors make wiggly lines.

I like the sound of peppermint icing. It seems like that would work well on chocolate cookies or brownies.

I'm happy I could tip you to something useful.
