Knowing Yourself: Part 4
May. 14th, 2020 08:06 pmFor the "A" in VITALS from my first post about knowing yourself, in my attempt to figure out what I like and who I am and how I can use that to my advantage.
The "A" stands for "Around-the Clock Activities", in regards to what time of day you have the most energy and work best.
I'm not sure exactly what time of day is best for me, though I am not a morning person, and am a little bit of a night owl. I often stay up late when I get sucked into something (like reading a book), but I don't actually usually do brain work late at night. Late more/early afternoon seem to be optimal for me, though I am noticing more lately that I have a delay between waking up and productivity. I need anywhere from half an hour to an hour to fully wake up and actually be alert and motivated. I can get going and leave the house sooner than that (and I do just about every day for work), but to actually function at optimum I need that time to be lazy and get into gear.
What about you? Are you an early bird? A night owl? An early evening person? Feel free to chime in, and to ask about me as well, if you have any unanswered questions.
