Weekly Update

I didn't make a weekly post last week, though I did make a signal boost or two so I at least managed to put something up. The motivation just fled last week, though it seems to be back a little bit now.

Over the last two weekends, my dad came over and helped me with my tree trimming. The mountain ash (I think) in my backyard has a fork in it, and one side appeared totally dead. As it shares a fence with the alley, I really didn't want it coming down, possibly on a car or people. The dead bit has now been trimmed, and I'm hopeful that it will still get berries this year, and will be healthy next year.

I also have three lilac trees in my yard, two of which are older and varying degrees of overgrown. Those got trimmed as well, so the healthy bits are left and they got tangle with wires or neighbours fences. I also have more of my patio and sidewalk back now, since the branches that were low and overhanging have been cut back. I like the lilacs, but I would prefer it if they were slightly more tame than they are now. All that's left is to wait for next spring and see if I get flowers on them still. *fingers crossed*

I spent the better part of the last two weeks fighting (and losing) with the dishes, but I finally got them all done, and I even cleaned all the baking dishes right away after I made double chocolate chip cookies on Tuesday.

I haven't made much progress on the various indexing and edited tasks I have, but I did get a bit done, and I'm hoping to get more done soon.

All in all, this week has been better than last, and I'm hoping it continues. How are y'all doing?

Oh man, I hate when that happens. Sleeping through the alarms throws off the whole day. I hope you have an easier time sleeping tonight.

I have a nut mix, so I'm not completely out, but that doesn't pair well with something fizzy. *sighs*

It should, I think. I just...I'm tired of doing nothing, y'know?

I understand that feeling. Sometimes you want to be doing more than just sitting around.

Yeah, well I managed that today. dishes, cleaning out the stove burners and doing a quick wip of the counters helped.

And then I carried a fuckload of trash bags down the stairs so my room mate could drive them to the trash corrale. That's kinda become my job as both of them have heart conditions that make it difficult for them to do it on their own.

Oh, that sounds like a productive day. :)

Good for you, helping out where it is difficult for the others. Although I don't envy you making what sounds like multiple trips up and down the stairs, possibly with heavy bags in tow.

Ewwww, leakage is the worst. Although that reminds me that I really need to clean out my kitchen garbage can as soon as I have a chance; spills in the can are gross too.

Yeah they are. Blurg. Those are actually wors than leakage for us becaus scrubbing that shit out is not always easy.

Ya, I don't much like scrubbing anything. And I have a tendency to say "Oh it's not so bad" and avoid cleaning it, until it *really* needs to be cleaned, but then I *still* don't want to because now it's super gross. -.- Can I vote to skip the scrubbing?

I have that tendancy, too. Esecially with things like trashcans because gross. I try to curb it when ever possible, but it doesn't work sometimes.

I am familiar with that struggle. I do it most often with the bathroom (bathtub especially) and the dishes. I try to stay on top of them, but it doesn't always work.

Yeah same here. My bathroom sink needs a seriousdeep clean, and my mirror's probably a mess. *sighs*

*double sigh* Cleaning is the worst. It always comes back; maybe that's why I have such a hard time doing it in the first place. Cause I know I'm going to have to do it again soon. Ah, such is life when you own/live in a home.

Yeah, I know right? My condo was the same way. I'm like...fucking why? *sighs*

I sometimes wish I had someone to help me. ... then when I did, he turned out to be an asshole. *sighs*

Life *sighs* It has some great parts, and lots of sucky little things in between.

I sometimes wish I had someone to tell me to do the chores, but I frequently agrue when someone does tell me to. Figures that when you have help they would turn out to be an asshole.
