Comfort Corner

fuzzyredThe carpet is thick, soft and cream coloured, while the walls are a yellow bronze colour. In the corner along one wall there is a large sofa, able to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably. Along the other corner wall there is a smaller sofa for 2 or 3 people. In the middle of the furniture, there is a low, round coffee table, perfect for colouring at or for other craft activities.
There is a scratching post and a cat tree for climbing, which are both along the wall opposite the couch. A few fluffy beds have also been put out, in varying sizes, in case any one prefers the floor. There is also a large sturdy perch and a marked off area that says "Landing Pad" in case any winged friends want to visit.
There is now a blue chaise chair in the nook as well, which has been placed near the couch and is good for both sitting and spreading out lengthwise.
There are two baskets off to the side. One contains fuzzy blankets, a variety of fuzzy and textured pillows, and a collection of stuffed animals while the other contains a variety of art supplies, ranging from colouring pages and blank paper to crayons and coloured pencils, and more besides.
This week there is Sprite, Rootbeer, Palm Bay (alcohol coolers), double chocolate cookies, chocolate chip cookies, apple and pumpkin cookies, and a turtle cake. There is also caesar dalad and cream cheese rolls with peppers in them. The extra treats are because my birthday is Tuesday, and I felt like celebrating. :D Cuddles are welcome, as is play time. :)

-Trausio *curls up between Kae and Craimar, scrubbing her hands over her eyes in a weary fashion and trying not to show anxiety everywhere
-Blackwing, dressed in what looks like a Chinese collared cot that fans out behind him sets up other drinks (Labelling them as alcoholic) as he sweeps past, stoping at a window where he stands looking out, hands clasped behind his back. His face reveals nothing of his emotions: that's what his eyes are for.
Mel, who looks similar to blackwing with the same sort of coat, comes bearing stews with breads, setting them near the other foods already placed. his silver-and-black hair is pullded from hisface in a long elaborat braid that curls around his waist, making abelt of sorts.It doesn't, however, hinder his movements as he goes to stand by Blackwing in pretty much the same pose. One can see now that Mel is slightly shorter than Blackwing, if only by and inch or two, and soon a lady comes to stand besid him, leaning against his side with long practiced familiarity.
-Clarien Saul and Thairon come to see someone they'e been chatting a lot with, and curl up together, Jill in the middle of them, looking worn out and half-awake; they've dragged her here for som R&R
Last, Jay strolls in, his locks well tended, and a tired look on his face, dealing with an anxious KDot...is always an interesting time; he needsa few cuddles to feel a bit better, and he is the one, today, that finds himself on the shaize, blinking as he sees Sh'lainn curled up dozing in a nest nearby, the teens etherial nature showing throught today from how exausted she seems to be.

Kitty J darts over to Sh'lainn and curls up with her, giving her cuddles.
Fire prances back and forth between Jay and Trausio, Kae and Craimar, gently nuzzling and huffing at them, giving them as much warmth and reassurance as she can.
Finally, Góra cautiously approaches Clarien, Saul and Thairon, doing her best not to startle them. The red spirit dragon curls up on the floor, tail wrapped close and snout pointed towards the group of four, doing her best to extend reassurance and an invitation to cuddle if so desired.

Sh'lainn eargerly, but gently, reaches for the kitty-J, making a soft almost purring sigh for the cuddles provided.
Jill raises her head, and blinks, ~He-hello, I've not done this before, can-can you hear me?~
Saul grins, someone's poking her head out. Good.

Date: 2020-10-08 12:41 pm (UTC)~Cuddles!~ Kitty J makes many purring noises, some loud, some quiet, and enjoys both giving and receiving cuddles from her friend. An echo of Kitty J's internal thoughts bleeds over, the soft feeling of ~happyhappyhappy~ emitting from her in waves, almost unconsciously.

Góra's mental 'voice' is soft and rumbling, with just a hint of a chuckle to it.
~*~I have many years of practice with this form of communication, so it's no trouble to compensate for the newness on your part. Truly, if you think the thoughts just as if you were speaking out loud, it is quite easy for me to hear you. Sharing pictures of abstract ideas is trickier, but doable if you have a clear image in mind. I hope you can rest easy here, Jill, I will stand guard.~*~
Góra settles in more comfortably, indeed staying alert so her friends don't need to, but also willing to relax and engage with them if they wish.
