Weekly something or other

This week has mostly been okay; afternoons at work was alright and I had a decent week at home too. I am so done with today though. Major smash in my machine tonight, and I've just spent the whole day wanting to curl up and sleep.

On the plus side, I've made pretty good progress on my November bingo card, and ysabetwordsmith has given me some fantastic resources for improving my writing. I've been having fun playing with those today. I'm also excited since this will be a long weekend for me; yay for companies giving us Rememberance day off!

I'm hopeful of getting some rest, and working on some of my more involved bingo fills over the weekend, and hopefully having a bit more energy. I have managed to keep on top of Duolingo which is nice, even if I have been doing Esperanto and Hawaiian in place of French lately.

Hawaiian? Pono pono! And thanks for reminding me, Remembrance Day is the second of two November remembers for me... the first being today, the anniversary (21!) of my living in Duwamish territory rather than Cherokee. Remembrance Day is the anniversary of my friendship with talis_kimberley (10!), over a song called "1400 Hours"...

Thanks! Ya, Duolingo has a bunch of different and interesting options, though it really is more of a starting point than anything. And since it's almost all done by volunteers and users, not all courses have the same level of detail, but it's still fun (and free!) and a good introduction to the language if nothing else.
